Gary Burton (born January 23, 1943; age 82) is an American retired jazz vibraphonist, composer, and educator. Burton developed a pianistic style of four-mallet technique as an alternative to the prevailing two-mallet technique. As well as being a major figure in music education from his 30 years teaching at the Berklee College of Music.
Six Pack is a 1992 studio album by Gary Burton. It features six guest guitarists (B.B. King, Jim Hall, John Scofield, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ralph Towner and Kevin Eubanks) along with an all-star band including tenor saxophonist Bob Berg, pianist Mulgrew Miller, bassist Steve Swallow and drummer Jack DeJohnette.

Ayers began his career as a post-bop jazz artist, releasing several studio albums with Atlantic Records, before his tenure at Polydor Records beginning in the 1970s, during which he helped to pioneer jazz-funk. He was a key figure in the acid jazz movement, and has been described as "The Godfather of Neo Soul".
Stoned Soul Picnic is the third studio album by Roy Ayers, released in 1968 by Atlantic Records.

The Doors of Perception is a live album by Dave Pike which was recorded in 1966 and released on the Vortex label in 1970.

The Big Jazz Trio was a one-off project led by George Cables for a 1985 album of the same name. It featured the notable jazz and fusion rhythm section of bassist Stanley Clarke and drummer Peter Erskine. The album was released exclusively in Japan on the Eastworld label.

Omar Sosa (born April 10, 1965; age 60) is a jazz pianist from Cuba. In the 1990s he moved from Cuba to Quito, Ecuador; to Palma de Mallorca, Spain; to the San Francisco Bay area, in California, United States; and finally settled in Barcelona, Spain. Sosa has released most of his recordings on his own Otá label.
Bembon is an album by Omar Sosa, released in 2000 on the Otá label. The music features an experimental sound that fuses elements of jazz, classical, and world music, with Afro-Cuban rhythms at its core.
