Joseph Jarman (September 14, 1937 – January 9, 2019; aged 81) was an American jazz musician, composer, poet, and Shinshu Buddhist priest. He was one of the first members of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians and a member of the Art Ensemble of Chicago.

Bernard "Barney" Jean Wilen (4 March 1937 - 25 May 1996; aged 59) was a French tenor and soprano saxophonist and jazz composer. His career was boosted in 1957, when he worked with Miles Davis on the soundtrack for the Louis Malle film Ascenseur pour l'Echafaud (Elevator to the Gallows). In 1959, Wilen wrote his two soundtracks Un Temoin Dans la Ville and Jazz sur scene with Kenny Clarke.
Inside Nitty=Gritty is an album by Barney Wilen which was recorded in Paris,1993 and released on the Japanese Venus label.

MUDFOOT - THE LEADERS 🔎

The Leaders is a jazz supergroup formed in 1983. The initial lineup of the Leaders was put together in 1983 by saxophonist Chico Freeman and featured trumpeter Don Cherry, alto saxophonist Arthur Blythe, along with a rhythm section of pianist Don Pullen, bassist Cecil McBee, and drummer Famoudou Don Moye. In the second incarnation of the Leaders in 1984, pianist Don Pullen was replaced with Hilton Ruiz. In 1985, the third and final incarnation of the Leaders, pianist Hilton Ruiz was replaced by Kirk Lightsey and trumpeter Don Cherry was replaced by Lester Bowie.
Mudfoot is the debut album by the all-star jazz group The Leaders released on the Black Hawk label in 1986.

Interstellar Space is a studio album by the American jazz saxophonist John Coltrane, featuring the drummer Rashied Ali. It was recorded in 1967, the year of his death, and released by Impulse! Records in September 1974.
