FEELS SO GOOD - CHUCK MANGIONE

Charles Frank Mangione (born November 29, 1940) is an American flugelhorn player, trumpeter and composer. He was a member of Art Blakey's band and co-led the Jazz Brothers. He achieved international success in 1977 with his jazz-pop single "Feels So Good". Mangione has released more than 30 albums since 1960.

First consisting of flautist Hubert Laws, bassist Ron Carter, and drummer Billy Cobham, in 1974 the lineup changed to Frank Wess, bassist George Mraz, and drummer Ben Riley. "In Concert In Japan" was recorded at Yubin-Chokin-Kaikan Hall, Tokyo on April 2, 1975."

山本 邦山(やまもと ほうざん、1937年10月6日 - 2014年2月10日)は、滋賀県大津市出身の尺八演奏家、作曲家。元東京芸術大学教授。都山流尺八の第一人者。幼少より父初世山本邦山に学び、のち中西蝶山に学ぶ。2002年に都山流尺八の重要無形文化財保持者(人間国宝)の認定を受ける。本作「銀界」のメンバーは、山本邦山(尺八)、菊地雅章(p)、ゲーリー・ピーコック(b)、村上寛(ds)。1970年10月録音。

Terumasa Hino (日野 皓正, born October 25, 1942) is a Japanese jazz trumpeter.
He is considered one of Japan's finest jazz musicians. His instruments include the trumpet, cornet, and flugelhorn. His father was a trumpeter and tap dancer. Hino started tap dancing at age four and playing trumpet at age nine. As a teenager, he copied solos by Clifford Brown, Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, and Lee Morgan.
"Alone Together" is a free jazz album by Terumasa Hino. It was released in 1970 under Columbia Records, as part of the Takt Jazz Series.

Charles Wesley "Bobo" Shaw (September 5, 1947 - January 16, 2017) was an American free jazz drummer, known as a prominent member of the Human Arts Ensemble and Black Artists Group.
Lester Bowie (October 11, 1941 - November 8, 1999) was an American jazz trumpet player and composer. He was a member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians and co-founded the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
"Bugle Boy Bop" is an album by Lester Bowie and Charles "Bobo" Shaw recorded in 1977 and released on the Muse label in 1983. It features seven duet performances by Bowie and Shaw.

Booker Little Jr. (April 2, 1938 - October 5, 1961) was an American jazz trumpeter and composer. He appeared on many recordings in his short career, both as a sideman and as a leader. Most notably, Little performed with Max Roach, John Coltrane, and Eric Dolphy and was strongly influenced by Sonny Rollins and Clifford Brown. He died at age 23.
