Bird on 52nd Street is a live album by Charlie Parker, originally released in 1957 under the Jazz Workshop label. It was recorded in 1948 on a home tape recorder. Even though it was remastered and restored in 1994, the recording is still very problematic, characterised by continuous noises and whirrings.

A major proponent of collective improvisation, he is considered to be one of the greatest jazz musicians and composers in history, with a career spanning three decades and collaborations with other jazz legends such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Dannie Richmond, and Herbie Hancock.
Pre Bird is an album by Charles Mingus consisting of music that was composed before Mingus first heard Charlie Parker, hence the title Pre Bird. It was released on Mercury Records in September 1961.
