CAJUN SUNRISE - HANK CRAWFORD

Bennie Ross "Hank" Crawford, Jr. (December 21, 1934 - January 29, 2009) was an American R&B, hard bop, jazz-funk, soul jazz alto saxophonist, arranger and songwriter. Crawford was musical director for Ray Charles before embarking on a solo career releasing many well-regarded albums on Atlantic, CTI and Milestone.
"Cajun Sunrise" is a 1978 jazz/funk/vocal album recorded by Hank Crawford and produced by Creed Taylor on the Kudu Records label.

MORNING DANCE - SPYRO GYRA

Spyro Gyra is an American jazz fusion band that was formed in Buffalo, New York in 1974. The band's music combines jazz, R&B, funk, and pop music.
The band's name comes from "Spirogyra", a genus of green algae which founder Jay Beckenstein had learned about in college.
"Morning Dance" is the second album by Spyro Gyra. The album was released in 1979 and was certified gold by the RIAA(Recording Industry Association of America) on September 19, 1979, and was certified platinum on June 1, 1987.

Peter Kowald (April 21, 1944 - September 21, 2002) was a German free jazz double bassist and tubist.
A member of the Globe Unity Orchestra, and a touring double-bass player, Kowald collaborated with many European free jazz and American free-jazz players during his career, including Peter Brötzmann, Irene Schweizer, Karl Berger, Fred Anderson.
This album recorded live by Eberhard Sengpiel on January 13th,1972 at the Akademie der Kunste in Berlin.

RETURN TO FOREVER - CHICK COREA

Armando Anthony "Chick" Corea (born June 12, 1941) is an American jazz pianist/electric keyboardist and composer.
His compositions "Spain", "500 Miles High", "La Fiesta" and "Windows", are considered jazz standards.
As a member of Miles Davis's band in the late 1960s, he participated in the birth of jazz fusion. In the 1970s he formed the fusion band Return to Forever.
With Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans, he has been described as one of the major jazz piano voices to emerge in the post-John Coltrane era.
"Return to Forever" is a jazz fusion album by Chick Corea, simultaneously functioning as the debut album by the band of the same name.

DON'T STOP THE MUSIC - THE BRECKER BROS.

Brecker Brothers were the Jazz music duo of Michael Brecker and Randy Brecker. Michael played saxophone, flute, and EWI, and Randy played trumpet and flugelhorn.
Randy, the older brother, became famous as an original member of the group "Blood, Sweat & Tears". He appeared on their debut album "Child Is Father to the Man" in 1968. Michael first appeared on record supporting Randy on his solo debut album, titled "Score", which was released in 1969.
"Don’t Stop the Music" was released by Arista Records in 1977.

BENEATH THE SURFACE - BILL SAXTON

William Edward Saxton (born June 28, 1946 in New York City) is an American hard bop tenor saxophonist.
He studied clarinet, composition and arrangement at the New England Conservatory in Boston, graduating in 1973 and worked with Pharoah Sanders, Jackie McLean and Bennie Maupin.
He began working with Dannie Richmond in 1979, and he later worked with Charlie Persip's big band and Errol Parker. His playing has been strong and confident, but also essentially standard hard bop in a Wayne Shorter/John Coltrane mode. Saxton can be heard on recordings more often as a sideman than a leader, his own albums include 1984's "Beneath the Surface" and 1994's "Atymony".

Robert Keith McFerrin Jr. (born March 11, 1950) is an American jazz vocalist. He is known for his vocal techniques.
He is widely known for performing and recording regularly as an unaccompanied solo vocal artist. He has frequently collaborated with other artists from both the jazz and classical scenes. McFerrin's song "Don't Worry, Be Happy" was a No. 1 U.S. pop hit in 1988 and won Song of the Year and Record of the Year honors at the 1989 Grammy Awards.
This Album recorded live at The New Jazz Meeting, Nov. 26,1982 and Workshop in SWF studio, Nov.22-25,1982.

Daryl Hall & John Oates, referred to as Hall & Oates, are an American pop rock duo formed in 1970 in Philadelphia. Daryl Hall is generally the lead vocalist; John Oates primarily plays electric guitar and provides backing vocals. They achieved their greatest fame from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s with a fusion of rock and roll and rhythm and blues.
This album was released on September 1, 1981, by RCA Records. The album includes two #1 hits the title track, "Private Eyes" and "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)", as well as the top ten hit "Did It in a Minute".
