STEADY ROLLIN' MAN - ROBERT JR. LOCKWOOD

Robert Jr. Lockwood (March 27, 1915 - November 21, 2006) was an American Delta blues guitarist, who recorded for Chess Records and other Chicago labels in the 1950s and 1960s.
He was the only guitarist to have learned to play directly from Robert Johnson. Lockwood is known for his longtime collaboration with Sonny Boy Williamson II and for his work in the mid-1950s with Little Walter.

Jimmy Ponder (May 10, 1946 - September 16, 2013; aged 67) was an American jazz guitarist.
He began playing with Earland at 17 and in the following years with Lou Donaldson, Houston Person, Donald Byrd, Stanley Turrentine, and Jimmy McGriff. He moved to Philadelphia and later New York City in the 1970s and recorded extensively as a leader. Since the late 1980s, he frequently returned to his hometown to perform with his trio of two other Pittsburgh musicians, Gene Ludwig and Roger Humphries.

Wayne Shorter (born August 25, 1933) is an American jazz saxophonist and composer.
Shorter came to wide prominence in the late 1950s as a member of, and eventually primary composer for Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. In the 1960s, he went on to join Miles Davis's Second Great Quintet, and from there he co-founded the jazz fusion band Weather Report. He has recorded over 20 albums as a bandleader.

Robert Berg (April 7, 1951 - December 5, 2002) was an American jazz saxophonist originally from Brooklyn, New York City.
A student from the hard bop school, Berg played from 1973 to 1976 with Horace Silver and from 1977 to 1983 with Cedar Walton. Berg became more widely known when he joined Miles Davis band in 1984.
Berg's tenor saxophone sound was a synthesis of rhythm and blues players such as Junior Walker and Arnett Cobb with the lyricism, intellectual freedom and soul of Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson and John Coltrane.

GATO BARBIERI & DON CHERRY

Leandro "Gato" Barbieri (28 November 1932 - 2 April 2016) was an Argentine jazz tenor saxophonist who rose to fame during the free jazz movement in the 1960s and is known for his Latin jazz recordings of the 1970s. His nickname, Gato, is Spanish for "cat".
Donald Eugene Cherry (November 18, 1936 - October 19, 1995) was an American jazz trumpeter. Cherry had a long association with saxophonist Ornette Coleman, which began in the late 1950s. Cherry was also a pioneer in world fusion music in the 1960s and 1970s.
This album is from Don Cherry's audiotape recorded on Spring 1965 (A1 to A3) and Summer 1965 (B1, B2). In the Italian original the two different recording dates are called "Togetherness One" and "Togetherness Two". This is the re-release of the album "Togetherness" on Durium in the US with new liner notes in 1976.
