Charles Mingus Jr. (April 22, 1922 - January 5, 1979; aged 56) was an American jazz double bassist, pianist, composer and bandleader. A major proponent of collective improvisation, he is considered to be one of the greatest jazz musicians and composers in history.
Oh Yeah is a studio album by Charles Mingus, released in April 1962 by Atlantic Records. It was recorded in 1961, and features Mingus (usually known to play bass) singing on three of the cuts and playing piano throughout.

Bennie Ross "Hank" Crawford, Jr. (December 21, 1934 - January 29, 2009; aged 74) was an American R&B, hard bop, jazz-funk, soul jazz alto saxophonist, arranger and songwriter. Crawford was musical director for Ray Charles before embarking on a solo career releasing many well-regarded albums on Atlantic, CTI, Kudu and Milestone.
I Hear a Symphony is the sixteenth album led by Hank Crawford and his fifth released on the Kudu label in 1975.

THE LEE KONITZ QUINTET

Leon Konitz (October 13, 1927 - April 15, 2020; aged 92) was an American composer and alto saxophonist. He performed successfully in a wide range of jazz styles, including bebop, cool jazz, and avant-garde jazz. Konitz's association with the cool jazz movement of the 1940s and 1950s includes participation in Miles Davis's Birth of the Cool sessions and his work with pianist Lennie Tristano. Other saxophonists were strongly influenced by Konitz, such as Paul Desmond and Art Pepper. He died during the COVID-19 pandemic due to complications brought on by the disease.
The Lee Konitz Quintet (also called Affinity) is an album by Lee Konitz recorded in 1977 and released on the Chiaroscuro label.

Walter Theodore "Sonny" Rollins (born September 7, 1930) is an American jazz tenor saxophonist who is widely recognized as one of the most important and influential jazz musicians. In a seven-decade career, he has recorded over sixty albums as a leader.
Sonny Rollins, Volume 1 is a jazz album by Sonny Rollins, his first effort for the Blue Note label. The original LP record, Blue Note release BLP-1542, did not distinguish the volume number in the title. It was simply called Sonny Rollins.

Jack Montrose (December 30, 1928 - February 7, 2006) was a jazz tenor saxophonist and arranger. After attending college in Los Angeles, he worked with Jerry Gray and then Art Pepper.
Bob Gordon (June 11, 1928 - August 28, 1955) was an American cool jazz baritone saxophonist born in St. Louis, Missouri, best known as a sideman for musicians like Stan Kenton, Shelly Manne, Chet Baker, Maynard Ferguson, Herbie Harper and Jack Montrose.
Jack Montrose with Bob Gordon is an album recorded in May 1955 and released on the Atlantic label.
