明田川荘之。1950年10月23日東京都生まれ。ジャズ・ピアニスト。
1974年の2月、西荻窪にライヴハウス「アケタの店」を開店。リーダー作としてはデビュー盤「ディス・ヒア・イズ・アケタ1~3集」を皮切りに40枚を超える。父親から受け継いだオカリーナ会社の社長で、世界にも類のないオカリーナ・ジャズ奏者。1975年より自主レーベル、アケタズ・ディスクも主宰し多くのジャズLP・CDを制作している。趣味は温泉・水泳・酒など液体関係全般! 好きな音楽家はブラームス、カール・シューリヒト、エリック・ドルフィー、バド・パウエル。
本作は「ディス・ヒア・イズ・アケタ」の第2集。1975年 ブリヂストン美術館ホールにて録音。ソロピアノ。

MY FAIR LADY - SHELLY MANNE & His Friends

Sheldon Manne (June 11, 1920 - September 26, 1984; aged 64), professionally known as Shelly Manne, was an American jazz drummer. Most frequently associated with West Coast jazz, he was known for his versatility and also played in a number of other styles, including Dixieland, swing, bebop, avant-garde jazz and fusion, as well as contributing to the musical background of hundreds of Hollywood films and television programs.
My Fair Lady, recorded by "Shelly Manne & His Friends" and released in 1956 by Contemporary Records, is the first album ever made consisting entirely of jazz versions of tunes from a single Broadway musical. It was an instant hit and became one of the best-selling jazz albums of its day.

The Scene Changes, is a studio album by Bud Powell, released on Blue Note Records in 1959, featuring a session Powell recorded at the Rudy Van Gelder Studio in Hackensack, New Jersey on December 29, 1958, with Paul Chambers on bass and Art Taylor on drums.

Keith Jarrett (born May 8, 1945) is an American jazz and classical music pianist and composer.
Jarrett started his career with Art Blakey, moving on to play with Charles Lloyd and Miles Davis. Since the early 1970s he has enjoyed a great deal of success as a group leader and a solo performer in jazz, jazz fusion, and classical music.
The Mourning of a Star is an album by Keith Jarrett recorded in 1971 with his regular working trio (bass player Charlie Haden and drummer Paul Motian) and released that same year by Atlantic Records.
