富樫雅彦(1940年3月22日 - 2007年8月22日 67歳没)は、日本のジャズ・ドラマー、打楽器奏者。作曲家。1965年に日本初のフリー・ジャズ・グループと言われる富樫雅彦カルテットを結成。この頃には、唐十郎(俳優、劇作家)や足立正生(映画監督)と共に「新宿の三大天才」と呼ばれていた。
佐藤允彦(1941年10月6日 - )は、ジャズピアニスト、作曲家。現在でも新宿ピットインに度々出演し元気な演奏を続けている。
翠川敬基(1949年5月10日 - )は、日本のチェロ奏。ジャズのみならず現代音楽などの領域でも活動している。

Malcolm Earl "Mal" Waldron (August 16, 1925 - December 2, 2002; aged 77) was an American jazz pianist, composer, and arranger.
Waldron is period as house pianist for Prestige Records in the late 1950s. Waldron was often an accompanist for vocalists, and was Billie Holiday's regular accompanist from April 1957 until her death in July 1959.
Mal-1 is the debut album by American jazz pianist Mal Waldron, recorded in 1956 and released on the Prestige label in May 1957.

Clark Virgil Terry Jr. (December 14, 1920 - February 21, 2015; aged 94) was an American swing and bebop trumpeter, a pioneer of the flugelhorn in jazz, and a composer and educator. His career in jazz spanned more than 70 years, during which he became one of the most recorded jazz musicians, appearing on over 900 recordings.

Sir George Albert Shearing(13 August 1919 - 14 February 2011; aged 91) was a British jazz pianist who for many years led a popular jazz group that recorded for Discovery Records, MGM Records and Capitol Records. Shearing was the composer of over 300 titles, including the jazz standards "Lullaby of Birdland" and "Conception".
The Montgomery Brothers were a jazz trio consisting of the brothers Wes Montgomery (g), Buddy Montgomery (p,vib) and Monk Montgomery (b).

Wayne Shorter (born August 25, 1933) is an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Shorter came to wide prominence in the late 1950s as a member of, and eventually primary composer for, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. In the 1960s, he went on to join Miles Davis's Second Great Quintet, and from there he co-founded the jazz fusion band Weather Report.
Speak No Evil is the sixth album by Wayne Shorter. It was released in June 1966 by Blue Note Records. The music combines elements of hard bop and modal jazz. The cover shows Wayne Shorter's first wife, Teruko (Irene) Nakagami, whom he met in 1961.
