浅川マキ(1942年1月27日 - 2010年1月17日)石川県出身、作詞(詩)家、作曲家、編曲家。1969年7月1日、寺本幸司のプロデュースによる「夜が明けたら」(EXPRESS-レーベル)で正式にレコード・デビュー。以後移籍することなく作品を発表しつつステージを主体に音楽活動を行った。
「WHO'S KNOCKING ON MY DOOR」は、浅川マキの通算15枚目のアルバム。後藤次利プロデュース。向井滋春、本多俊之、セシル・モンロー、トリスタン・ホンシンガーらが参加。1983年5月4日に亡くなった歌人・劇作家の寺山修司へのオマージュ的な楽曲を含むアルバム。同年録音。

Amalia da Piedade Rebordao Rodrigues (July 23, 1920 - October 6, 1999; aged 79), better known as Amalia Rodrigues or popularly as Amalia, was a Portuguese fadista (fado singer) and actress. Known as the 'Rainha do Fado' ("Queen of Fado"), Rodrigues was instrumental in popularising fado worldwide and travelled internationally throughout her career. Amalia remains the best-selling Portuguese artist in history.
This album is recorded live in Japan at Tokyo Sankei Hall, September 2 1970.

Johanna Rafalowicz, better known as Ann Burton (Amsterdam, March 4, 1933 - Amsterdam, November 29, 1989; aged 56) was a Dutch jazz singer. She mainly sang ballads and had great respect for the lyrics. Besides Rita Reys and Greetje Kauffeld, she was the most important post-war jazz singer in the Netherlands.

WHAT A DIFF'RENCE A DAY MAKES - ESTHER PHILLIPS

Esther Phillips (born Esther Mae Jones; December 23, 1935 - August 7, 1984; aged 48) was an American singer, best known for her R&B vocals. She also performed pop, country, jazz, blues and soul music.
"What a Diff'rence a Day Made", also recorded is a popular song originally written in Spanish by Maria Grever, a Mexican songwriter, in 1934. The song is also known in English as “What a Diff'rence a Day Makes”.
In 1975, Esther Phillips recorded her version of the song. Her comeback record had a disco feel to it. The Esther Phillips version reached number two on the disco charts. Her version also did well on the US soul and Top 40 charts.

Pharoah Sanders (born Farrell Sanders, October 13, 1940) is an American jazz saxophonist. A member of John Coltrane's groups of the mid-1960s, Sanders is known for his overblowing, harmonic, and multiphonic techniques on the saxophone, as well as his use of "sheets of sound".
Tauhid is a jazz album by Pharoah Sanders. It was the second album released under his name, and his first album on the Impulse! label. It was recorded on November 15, 1966 at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Leandro "Gato" Barbieri (28 November 1932 - 2 April 2016; aged 83) was an Argentine jazz tenor saxophonist who rose to fame during the free jazz movement in the 1960s and is known for his Latin jazz recordings of the 1970s. His nickname, Gato, is Spanish for "cat".
Tropico was recorded at the Automatt studio in San Francisco, California, May 1978.
