UMBRELLA DANCE - YOSUKE YAMASHITA TRIO

Yosuke Yamashita (山下 洋輔, Yamashita Yosuke, born 26 February 1942) is a Japanese jazz pianist, composer and writer. He is praised by critics for his unique piano style, which is influenced by free jazz, modal jazz and soul jazz.
Since the late 1980s Yamashita's main group has consisted of Cecil McBee (bass), Pheeroan akLaff (drums), and often Joe Lovano (saxophone).
"Umbrella Dance" is recorded June 16, 1977 at Tonstudio Bauer, Ludwigsburg, West Germany.

Earl Rudolph "Bud" Powell (September 27, 1924 - July 31, 1966) was an American jazz pianist and composer. Along with Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, and Dizzy Gillespie, Powell was a leading figure in the development of bebop. His virtuosity led many to call him the Charlie Parker of the piano.
"Jazz Giant" is a studio album by Bud Powell, released on Norgran in 1950, featuring two sessions that Powell recorded for Norman Granz in 1949 and 1950.

William John Evans (August 16, 1929 - September 15, 1980) was an American jazz pianist and composer who mostly played in trios.[2] His use of impressionist harmony, inventive interpretation of traditional jazz repertoire, block chords, and trademark rhythmically independent, "singing" melodic lines continues to influence jazz pianists today.
"Sunday at the Village Vanguard" is a live album by Bill Evans and his Trio consisting of Evans, bassist Scott LaFaro, and drummer Paul Motian. Released in 1961, the album is routinely ranked as one of the best live jazz recordings of all time.

Thelonious Sphere Monk (October 10, 1917 - February 17, 1982) was an American jazz pianist and composer. He had a unique improvisational style and made numerous contributions to the standard jazz repertoire, including "'Round Midnight", "Blue Monk", "Straight, No Chaser", "Ruby, My Dear", "In Walked Bud", and "Well, You Needn't".
"Thelonious in Action": Recorded at the Five Spot Cafe is a 1958 album by Thelonious Monk. The album was recorded live at the Five Spot Cafe on August 7, 1958 at the same sessions that produced "Misterioso".

He released over 200 recordings, won eight Grammy Awards, and received numerous other awards and honours. He is considered one of the greatest jazz pianists, and played thousands of concerts worldwide in a career lasting more than 60 years.
"We Get Requests" is an album by Oscar Peterson and his trio, released in 1964. It was recorded at RCA Studios New York City. This album is Peterson's last of his fourteen-year work with Verve.

The Monkees are an American rock and pop band originally active between 1966 and 1971, with reunion albums and tours in the decades that followed. Their original line-up consisted of the American actor/musicians Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork with English actor/singer Davy Jones. The group was conceived in 1965 by television producers Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider specifically for the situation comedy series The Monkees, which aired from 1966 to 1968.

桃井 かおり(1951年4月8日 - )は、日本の女優。東京都世田谷区出身。2005年公開のハリウッド映画『SAYURI』出演を期に、2006年にはアメリカ合衆国映画俳優組合(SAG)に加入、活躍の場をハリウッドにも広げる。ロサンゼルス在住。
2015年1月21日に、なかにし礼の作詩家・作家生活50周年を記念した企画アルバムで、日本コロムビアよりリリースされた「なかにし礼と12人の女優たち」で、アン・ルイスの「グッド・バイ・マイ・ラブ」、2016年9月28日リリースの第2弾の「なかにし礼と13人の女優たち」で細川たかし の「心のこり」を歌った。
本作は1979年8月28日渋谷公会堂での初のワンマン・コンサートを収録。
