"Still Life" is a live album by the Rolling Stones, released in 1982. Recorded during the band's 1981 American tour, it was released in time for their 1982 European tour.

Sonny & Brownie is an album by the blues musicians Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. It was recorded at the Paramount Recording Studios (in Hollywood, California, United States) in 1973, and re-released in 1988 with digital remastering by Rudy Van Gelder at the Van Gelder Recording Studio.

Shocking Blue was a Dutch rock band formed in The Hague in 1967. The band had a number of psychedelic rock hits throughout the counterculture movements era during the 1960s and early 1970s, including "Send Me a Postcard", "Love Buzz", and "Venus," the last of which became their biggest hit, and reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and many other countries during 1969 and 1970.
The band had sold 13.5 million records by 1973 but disbanded in 1974.

松任谷 由実（まつとうや ゆみ、1954年（昭和29年）1月19日 - ）は、日本のシンガーソングライター。旧姓名および旧芸名は荒井 由実（あらい ゆみ）。1972年にシングル「返事はいらない」で荒井由実としてデビュー。所属レコード会社はユニバーサルミュージック（旧：EMIミュージック・ジャパン）。夫はアレンジャー・松任谷正隆で、彼女の音楽プロデューサーを務める。

西岡 恭蔵（1948年5月7日 - 1999年4月3日 三重県志摩郡志摩町（現志摩市）生れ）シンガーソングライター、作詞家、作曲家。愛称は「ゾウさん」。妻のKUROは作詞家（西岡恭蔵、松田優作、山下久美子、太田裕美ら多くの歌手に歌詞提供）
1972年（昭和47年）に、吉野金次プロデュースのアルバム『ディランにて』でソロデビュー。12月10日、ジャズシンガーの安田南に捧げられた曲「プカプカ」発売。1999年（平成11年）4月3日、妻で作詞家のKUROの三回忌前日に自宅で首を吊って自殺。享年50歳。

「マザー」（Mother）は、1970年に発表されたジョン・レノンの楽曲。ビートルズ解散後初のソロ・アルバムである『ジョンの魂』のオープニング曲で、シングルとしても発売された。レノンの幼いころの体験が原初療法という精神療法によって炙り出された作品である。
レノンは、1940年10月9日にリバプールで船員として働いていた父アルフレッド・レノンと母ジュリアとの子として生を受けたが、すぐに父は蒸発してしまう。母は他の男と暮らし始め、彼はジュリアの姉のミミ夫婦に預けられた。5歳の時、突然アルフレッドが姿を現し彼を連れ出すが、ジュリアと親権を巡っていさかいとなる。結局レノンは母ジュリアを選ぶのだが、ジュリアは再び彼をミミ夫婦のもとへ預け、一緒に暮らさなかった。アルフレッドも、また行方がわからなくなってしまう。この体験によって負わされた心の傷がモチーフとなっている。
アメリカと日本でシングルとして発表された。「狂気じみている」との理由からアメリカでは放送禁止に指定され、その影響からビルボードのチャートでは最高43位にとどまっている。

David Warren Brubeck (December 6, 1920 - December 5, 2012) was an American jazz pianist and composer, considered one of the foremost exponents of cool jazz.
Brubeck's style ranged from refined to bombastic, reflecting both his mother's classical training and his own improvisational skills. His music is known for employing unusual time signatures as well as superimposing contrasting rhythms, meters, and tonalities.
This album is 1972 released by Columbia, double LP with very detailed liner notes.

Jean Reinhardt (23 January 1910 - 16 May 1953), known by his stage name Django Reinhardt , was a Belgian-born Gypsy jazz guitarist and composer.
Gypsy jazz is a style of jazz developed by the Romani guitarist Jean "Django" Reinhardt in Paris during the 1930s. Because its origins are in France, and Reinhardt was from the Manouche Sinti clan, gypsy jazz is often called by the French name "jazz manouche", or alternatively, "manouche jazz" in English language sources.
With violinist Stephane Grappelli, Reinhardt formed the Paris-based Quintette du Hot Club de France in 1934. The group was among the first to play jazz that featured the guitar as a lead instrument.

Talmage Holt Farlow (June 7, 1921 - July 25, 1998) was an American jazz guitarist. He was nicknamed "Octopus" because of how his large, quick hands spread over the fretboard.
"Tal" is an album by Tal Farlow, released in 1956. Originally released on Norman Granz's Norgran label, it was subsequently released by Verve. It has been reissued by Verve again in 2001 and also on Universal Japan.
