MAXI - MAXI PRIEST

Max Alfred "Maxi" Elliott (born 10 June 1961), known by his stage name Maxi Priest, is a British reggae vocalist of Jamaican descent. He is best known for singing reggae music with an R&B influence, otherwise known as reggae fusion. He was one of the first international artists to have success in this genre, and one of the most successful reggae fusion acts of all time.
"Maxi" is the third studio album by Maxi Priest, released in 1987. It contains the singles "Some Guys Have All the Luck", "How Can We Ease the Pain ?", "Wild World" and "Goodbye to Love Again".

Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (May 27, 1946 - April 19, 2005) was a Danish jazz double bassist.

Walter Theodore "Sonny" Rollins (born September 7, 1930) is an American jazz tenor saxophonist who is widely recognized as one of the most important and influential jazz musicians.
In a seven-decade career, he has recorded over sixty albums as a leader. A number of his compositions, including "St. Thomas", "Oleo", "Doxy", "Pent-Up House", and "Airegin", have become jazz standards. Rollins has been called "the greatest living improviser" and the "Saxophone Colossus".

"Company" was an ever-changing collection of free improvising musicians.

Milton Aubrey "Brew" Moore (March 26, 1924 - August 19, 1973), was an American jazz tenor saxophonist.
Inspired by the style of Lester Young, he got his first professional experience playing in a Texas territorial band the summer before entering college.
And in the early 50s he gigged with Bird and other beboppers of note at venues like Birdland. This album recorded at Marrins MEmorial Hall, Jan.15, and Feb.22, 1956.

Arthur Edward Pepper Jr. (September 1, 1925 - June 15, 1982) was an American alto saxophonist and very occasional tenor saxophonist and clarinetist. A longtime figure in West Coast jazz, Pepper came to prominence in Stan Kenton's big band.
"The Return of Art Pepper" is an album by Art Pepper featuring sessions from 1956 recorded for the Jazz West label after his release from drug-related prison.

ANCIENT TO THE FUTURE - ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO

The Art Ensemble of Chicago is an avant-garde jazz group that grew out of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) in the late 1960s.
The ensemble integrates many jazz styles and plays many instruments, including "little instruments": bells, bicycle horns, birthday party noisemakers, wind chimes, and various forms of percussion. The musicians wear costumes and face paint while performing.
"Ancient to the Future: Dreaming of the Masters Series Vol. 1" is a 1987 album by the Art Ensemble of Chicago released on the Japanese DIW label.
It features performances by Lester Bowie, Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell, Malachi Favors Maghostut and Don Moye with Bahnamous Lee Bowie guesting.

Schoof was born in Magdeburg and studied music in Kassel and Cologne. He is a founder of European free jazz and collaborated with Albert Mangelsdorff, Peter Brötzmann, Mal Waldron, and Irene Schweizer.
