QUIET NIGHT - MILES DAVIS

Miles Dewey Davis III (May 26, 1926 - September 28, 1991) was an American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and composer. He is among the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th-century music. Davis adopted a variety of musical directions in a five-decade career that kept him at the forefront of many major stylistic developments in jazz.
"Quiet Nights" is a studio album by Miles Davis, and his fourth album collaboration with Gil Evans, released in 1964 on Columbia Records. Recorded mostly at Columbia's 30th Street Studios in Manhattan, it is the final album by Davis and Evans.

QUIET KENNY - KENNY DORHAM

McKinley Howard "Kenny" Dorham (August 30, 1924 - December 5, 1972) was an American jazz trumpeter, singer, and composer. Dorham's talent is frequently lauded by critics and other musicians, but he never received the kind of attention or public recognition from the jazz establishment that many of his peers did. Dorham composed the jazz standard "Blue Bossa", which first appeared on Joe Henderson's album "Page One".

Booker Little Jr. (April 2, 1938 - October 5, 1961) was an American jazz trumpeter and composer. He appeared on many recordings in his short career, both as a sideman and as a leader. Little performed with Max Roach, John Coltrane, and Eric Dolphy and was strongly influenced by Sonny Rollins and Clifford Brown. He died at age 23.

Frederick Dewayne Hubbard (April 7, 1938 - December 29, 2008) was an American jazz trumpeter. He played bebop, hard bop, and post-bop styles from the early 1960s onwards. His unmistakable and influential tone contributed to new perspectives for modern jazz and bebop.
"The Hub of Hubbard" is an album by Freddie Hubbard. It was recorded at Villingen, Black Forest, Germany on December 9, 1969. It was released on the MPS label and features performances by Hubbard, Eddie Daniels, Sir Roland Hanna, Richard Davis and Louis Hayes.

石川 セリ(1952年12月27日 - )は、日本の歌手。本名、井上セイディ(いのうえ セイディ(Seidy))。父親がアメリカ人で母親が日本人。神奈川県相模原市出身。夫はシンガーソングライターの井上陽水。長女は作詞家で歌手の依布サラサ。1971年、映画『八月の濡れた砂』の同名主題歌を担当し、1972年にシングル「小さな日曜日」でレコードデビュー。松任谷由実とは、TBSラジオの深夜放送「林美雄のパックインミュージック」でも、ともに熱狂的にとりあげられたこともあり、デビュー当時からの旧友である。本作「パセリと野の花」はデビュー・アルバム。

SARA - FRANKIE PAUL

Paul Blake (19 October 1965 - 18 May 2017), better known as Frankie Paul, was a Jamaican dancehall reggae artist. Born blind, he has been dubbed by some 'The Jamaican Stevie Wonder'.
Born in Jamaica in 1965, Blake was born blind but as a child had his sight partially restored by an operation on a hospital ship.
He sang for, and impressed Stevie Wonder when Wonder visited the school that Blake attended, prompting him to pursue a singing career. Notable works of Frankie Paul include the popular "Sara" and "Worries in the Dance".

Cecil Percival Taylor (March 25, 1929 - April 5, 2018) was an American pianist and poet.
Taylor was classically trained and was one of the pioneers of free jazz. His music is characterized by an energetic, physical approach, resulting in complex improvisation often involving tone clusters and intricate polyrhythms. His technique has been compared to percussion.
"Looking Ahead!" is the second album by pianist Cecil Taylor, recorded for the Contemporary label in June 1958. The album features performances by Taylor with Buell Neidlinger, Denis Charles, and Earl Griffith.

In the 1960s, he was one of the founders of free jazz, a term he invented for his album Free Jazz: A Collective Improvisation. His "Broadway Blues" and "Lonely Woman" have become standards and are cited as important early works in free jazz.
