Hilton Ruiz (May 29, 1952 - June 6, 2006) was an American jazz pianist in the Afro-Cuban jazz mold, but was also a talented bebop player. He was of Puerto Rican descent.
"Piano Man" is the debut album led by Hilton Ruiz recorded in 1975 and released on the Danish label, SteepleChase.

Pete Johnson (born Kermit H. Johnson, March 25, 1904 - March 23, 1967) was an American boogie-woogie and jazz pianist.
Albert Clifton Ammons (March 1, 1907 - December 2, 1949) was an American pianist and player of boogie-woogie, a bluesy jazz style popular from the late 1930s to the mid-1940s.
Anderson Meade Lewis (September 4, 1905 - June 7, 1964), known as Meade Lux Lewis, was an American pianist and composer, noted for his playing in the boogie-woogie style. His best-known work, "Honky Tonk Train Blues”, has been recorded by many artists.

John Bunch (December 1, 1921 - March 30, 2010) was an American jazz pianist.
Performing and recording with Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Pearl Bailey, and Scott Hamilton. He led a trio, mostly in England, and made many recordings as a leader, most notably with the New York Swing Trio with Bucky Pizzarelli and Jay Leonhart.

"Tanganyika Strut" is the last of the three 1958 Savoy recordings made by jazz musicians John Coltrane and Wilbur Harden. The album features the two as leaders, and is Harden's final as a leader. The sessions also produced a couple of alternate takes which can be found on some compilations, most notably the ones featuring the complete Savoy recordings made by Harden and Coltrane together, The Complete Mainstream 1958 Sessions (2009) and The Complete Savoy Sessions (1999).

Anthony Braxton (born June 4, 1945) is an American composer and multi-instrumentalist who is known in the genre of free jazz.
Since the 1960s, he has released more than 100 albums. He plays many types of saxophone (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass, contrabass, sopranino, C-melody, mezzo-soprano) and clarinet (E-flat, B-flat, contrabass), in addition to flute, alto flute, and piano.
"The Complete Braxton" (also released as The Complete Braxton 1971) is an album by Anthony Braxton recorded in 1971 and released on the Freedom label.

DREAM - TOSHIYUKI HONDA

Toshiyuki Honda (本多俊之 born April 9, 1957, Tokyo) is a Japanese jazz musician and composer.
Honda's father was a jazz critic, whose name was also Toshiyuki Honda. As a jazz musician, he learned flute and saxophone, and worked in the late 1970s with George Otsuka and the Burning Waves ensemble. In the 1980s he worked with Chick Corea, Tatsuya Takahashi, and Kazumi Watanabe, as well as leading his own ensemble, Super Quartet.
Starting in the late 1980s, Honda turned increasingly toward composing for film and television, as well as working in record producing. He composed the soundtrack for the film A Taxing Woman(マルサの女) in 1987, which raised his prominence as a film scorer.

Somethin' Else is a jazz album by alto saxophonist Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, his only album on the Blue Note label, recorded and released in 1958. Also on the session is trumpeter Miles Davis in one of his handful of recording dates for Blue Note. Adderley was a member of Davis' group at the time this album was recorded.
The album was recorded during Adderley's membership in the Miles Davis Sextet of 1958, and it also marks one of the few recordings Miles Davis made as a sideman after 1955.
