Josef Erich Zawinul (7 July 1932 - 11 September 2007: aged 75) was an Austrian jazz keyboardist and composer. First coming to prominence with saxophonist Cannonball Adderley, Zawinul went on to play with Miles Davis and to become one of the creators of jazz fusion, a musical genre that combined jazz with rock. He co-founded the groups Weather Report and The Zawinul Syndicate.

Light Years is an album by the Chick Corea Elektric Band. It features Chick Corea with guitarist Frank Gambale, saxophonist Eric Marienthal, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Dave Weckl. The album received the 1988 Grammy Award for the Best R&B Instrumental Performance.

He is among the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th-century music. Davis adopted a variety of musical directions in a five-decade career that kept him at the forefront of many major stylistic developments in jazz.

James Oscar Smith (December 8, 1925 - February 8, 2005: aged 79) was an American jazz musician whose albums often charted on Billboard magazine. He helped popularize the Hammond B-3 organ, creating a link between jazz and 1960s soul music.
The Cat is a 1964 album by Jimmy Smith. It features Smith on Hammond B-3 organ with big band arrangements by composer Lalo Schifrin. The album reached number 12 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Boris Claudio "Lalo" Schifrin (born June 21, 1932) is an Argentine-American pianist, composer, arranger and conductor. He is best known for his large body of film and TV scores since the 1950s, including the "Theme from Mission: Impossible", "Bullitt" and "Enter the Dragon". Associated with the jazz music genre, Schifrin is also noted for his collaborations with Clint Eastwood from the late 1960s to the 1980s, particularly the Dirty Harry series of films.
"Towering Toccata" is an album by Lalo Schifrin recorded in 1976 and released on the CTI label.

Frederick Dewayne Hubbard (April 7, 1938 - December 29, 2008: aged 70) was an American jazz trumpeter. He played bebop, hard bop, and post-bop styles from the early 1960s onwards. His unmistakable and influential tone contributed to new perspectives for modern jazz and bebop.
"Red Clay" is a soul/funk-influenced hard bop album recorded in 1970 by Freddie Hubbard. It was his first album on Creed Taylor's CTI label.

Akiko Yano (born February 13, 1955) is a Japanese pop and jazz musician and singer born in Tokyo and raised in Aomori and later began her singing career in the mid-1970s.
"Nagatsuki Kannazuki" is Akiko Yano's first live album. The debut concert held at Shibuya Public Hall in September 1976 and the recording at the Shiba Postal Savings Hall in October 1976.

山谷 初男(1933年12月19日 - 2019年10月31日:85歳没)は、秋田県出身の俳優。役者仲間からは「はっぽん」の愛称で親しまれた。若い頃は寺山修司主宰の天井桟敷に参加。時代劇での凄みのある悪役をこなす一方、素朴な役柄もこなしていた。日活ロマンポルノにも多数出演していた。編み物が趣味で自分で着るベストなどを編んでいることを関根勤や黒柳徹子から賞賛された。
本作は山谷初男が1974年に発表したアルバム。寺山修司構成・作詞/あがた森魚、田中未知作曲/J・A・シーザー、渡辺勝編曲/はちみつぱいの演奏による作品。

She is considered one of the most influential jazz vocalists of the 20th century and is remembered for her behind-the-beat phrasing and ironic interpretation of lyrics. McRae was inspired by Billie Holiday, but she established her own voice. She recorded over sixty albums and performed worldwide.

Anita Sings the Most is a 1957 album by Anita O'Day. The album was recorded in Los Angeles on January 31, 1957. In addition to vocalist O'Day, the musicians were pianist Oscar Peterson, guitarist Herb Ellis, bassist Ray Brown, and Milt Holland or John Poole on drums.
