宵々山コンサート'74 - VARIOUS ARTISTS

宵々山コンサートは、京都の祇園祭の開催期間に合わせ、京都市の円山公園音楽堂で1973年から2011年の間に30回(途中中断含む)開催された有料の屋外音楽イベント。高石ともや、永六輔らが企画、多数のミュージシャンや文化人が参加し、関西フォークシーンの代名詞となった。本作は、1974年の第2回目のコンサートのライブ録音。出演は、高石ともやとザ・ナターシャー・セブン、永六輔、小沢昭一、諸口あきら、ドン佐野 ほか。

MOANIN' - ART BLAKEY and The Jazz Messengers

Arthur Blakey (October 11, 1919 - October 16, 1990; aged 71) was an American jazz drummer and bandleader.
Blakey made a name for himself in the 1940s in the big bands of Fletcher Henderson and Billy Eckstine. He then worked with bebop musicians Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, and Dizzy Gillespie. In the mid-1950s, Horace Silver and Blakey formed the Jazz Messengers, a group that the drummer was associated with for the next 35 years.
Moanin' (originally titled Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers) is a jazz album by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers recorded in 1958 for the Blue Note label.

Walter Theodore "Sonny" Rollins (born September 7, 1930) is an American jazz tenor saxophonist who is widely recognized as one of the most important and influential jazz musicians. In a seven-decade career, he has recorded over sixty albums as a leader.
Saxophone Colossus is the sixth studio album by Sonny Rollins. Perhaps Rollins's best-known album, it is often considered his breakthrough record. It was recorded on June 22, 1956, with producers Bob Weinstock and Rudy Van Gelder at the latter's studio in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Saxophone Colossus was released by Prestige Records to critical success and helped establish Rollins as a prominent jazz artist.

Anthony Braxton (born June 4, 1945) is an American composer and multi-instrumentalist who is known in the genre of free jazz.
Since the 1960s, he has released more than 100 albums. He plays many types of saxophone (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass, contrabass, sopranino, C-melody, mezzo-soprano) and clarinet (E-flat, B-flat, contrabass), in addition to flute, alto flute, and piano.
For Trio is an album by Anthony Braxton recorded in 1977 and released on the Arista label. The album features two recordings of the same composition by Braxton in two separate trios.
