HEJIRA - JONI MITCHELL

Roberta Joan "Joni" Mitchell (born November 7, 1943; age 78) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and painter. Drawing from folk, pop, rock, classical, and jazz, Mitchell's songs often reflect on social and philosophical ideals as well as her feelings about romance, womanhood, disillusionment and joy. She has received many accolades, including nine Grammy Awards and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Rolling Stone called her "one of the greatest songwriters.
Hejira is the eighth studio album by Joni Mitchell. The songs on the album were written during a series of road trips in 1975 and 1976, and reflect events that occurred during those trips, including several romantic relationships she had at the time. Characterized by lyrically dense, sprawling songs, as well as the overdubbed fretless bass playing of Jaco Pastorius (whom Mitchell had just met).

Antonio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim (25 January 1927 - 8 December 1994; aged 67), also known as Tom Jobim, was a Brazilian composer, pianist, songwriter, arranger and singer. Considered one of the great exponents of Brazilian music, Jobim internationalized bossa nova and, with the help of important American artists, merged it with jazz in the 1960s to create a new sound with popular success. As such he is sometimes known as the "father of bossa nova".
Heloisa Maria Buarque de Hollanda (30 November 1937 - 27 December 2018; aged 81), whose artistic name was Miucha, was a Brazilian singer and composer.
Miucha & Antonio Carlos Jobim is recorded in 1977 and released on the RCA Victor label.
