KELLY BLUE - WYNTON KELLY

Wynton Charles Kelly (December 2, 1931 - April 12, 1971; aged 39) was an American jazz pianist and composer. He is known for his lively, blues-based playing and as one of the finest accompanists in jazz. Kelly attracted the most attention as part of Miles Davis' band from 1959, including an appearance on the Kind of Blue, often mentioned as the best-selling jazz album ever.
Kelly Blue is an album by American jazz pianist Wynton Kelly, released in 1959. Riverside Records gave Kelly an opportunity to expand on his solo career. Kelly Blue was his second album for the label.

His use of impressionist harmony, interpretation of traditional jazz repertoire, block chords, and trademark rhythmically independent, "singing" melodic lines continues to influence jazz pianists today.

Michel Jean Legrand (24 February 1932 - 26 January 2019; aged 86) was a French musical composer, arranger, conductor, and jazz pianist. Legrand was a prolific composer, having written over 200 film and television scores, in addition to many songs. His scores for the films of French New Wave director Jacques Demy, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) and The Young Girls of Rochefort (1967), earned Legrand his first Academy Award nominations.
He burst upon the international music scene at 22 when his album I Love Paris (1954) became a surprise hit.
