Eliades Ochoa Bustamante (born 22 June 1946; age 78) is a Cuban guitarist and singer from Loma de la Avispa, Songo La Maya in the east of the country near Santiago de Cuba. In 1978 he was invited to join Cuarteto Patria, a group founded in 1939, as its leader. His involvement with the Buena Vista Social Club and the Wim Wenders film of the same name (1999), has led him to worldwide fame.

ARSENIO RODRIGUEZ y Su Conjunto

Arsenio Rodríguez (born Ignacio Arsenio Travieso Scull; August 31, 1911 – December 30, 1970; aged 59) was a Cuban musician, composer and bandleader. He played the tres, as well as the tumbadora, and he specialized in son, rumba and other Afro-Cuban music styles. In the 1940s and 1950s Rodríguez established the conjunto format and contributed to the development of the son montuno, the basic template of modern-day salsa. He claimed to be the true creator of the mambo and was an important as well as a prolific composer who wrote nearly two hundred songs.

He studied classical music and jazz at the National Conservatory of Music in Cuba, and then moved to New York to continue his musical career. He has performed with many famous artists and released albums with his own band. He is also active as an educator, having taught at Princeton University and Harvard University.
Metamorphosis is his debut album, released in 2005 on the Ewe Records.

William Correa (February 28, 1934 – September 15, 1983; aged 49), better known by his stage name Willie Bobo, was an American Latin jazz percussionist of Puerto Rican descent. Bobo rejected the stereotypical expectations of Latino music and was noted for his versatility as an authentic Latin percussionist as well as a jazz drummer easily moving stylistically from jazz, Latin and rhythm and blues music.
Bobo's Beat is an album by Willie Bobo recorded in late 1962 and released on the Roulette label.
