Ioanna "Nana" Mouskouri (born October 13, 1934) is a Greek singer. Over the span of her career, she has released over 200 albums in at least twelve languages, including Greek, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Hebrew, Welsh, Mandarin Chinese and Corsican.
In 1962, she met Quincy Jones, who persuaded her to travel to New York City to record an album of American jazz titled The Girl from Greece Sings.

夏木マリ（1952年5月2日 - ）は、日本の女優、歌手。1971年、19歳の時に本名の中島淳子名義で「小さな恋」にて歌手デビュー。ジャニス・ジョプリンのような曲を歌いたかったが希望は受け入れられず、清純派アイドルとしてデビューした。しかしあまり注目されなかった。1973年、21歳の時に夏木マリ名義で「絹の靴下」を発表し、再デビュー。妖艶な振り付けやフィンガー・アクションが盛り込まれた同曲は大ヒットした。1995年、小西康陽からのアプローチを受けミニアルバム『九月のマリ－』を発表。本作は、小西康陽プロデュースによる夏木マリの集大成である。（1998年リリース）

Annabelle McCauley Allan Short (25 July 1930 - 21 July 2020; aged 89), known professionally as Annie Ross, was a British-American singer and actress, best known as a member of the jazz vocal trio Lambert, Hendricks & Ross.
During her time in the vocal trio, the albums released Gipsy (1959, with Buddy Bregman and his band) and A Gasser! (1959, in an all-star cast with Zoot Sims).

John Maurice Hartman (July 3, 1923 - September 15, 1983; aged 60) was an American jazz singer who specialized in ballads and earned critical acclaim, though he was never widely known. He's best remembered for his collaboration in 1963 with saxophonist John Coltrane, John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman, a landmark album for both him and Coltrane.
For Trane is a compilation album by Johnny Hartman that was released in 1995 by Blue Note Records. It contains material from two albums that Hartman recorded in Tokyo in 1972, Hartman Meets Hino and Hartman Sings Trane's Favorites.

美空 ひばり（1937年（昭和12年）5月29日 - 1989年（平成元年）6月24日; 52歳没）は、日本の歌手、女優、実業家。9歳でデビューし、その天賦の歌唱力で天才少女歌手と謳われて以後、歌謡曲・映画・舞台などで目覚ましい活躍をし自他共に歌謡界の女王と認める存在となった。昭和の歌謡界を代表する歌手であり、没後の1989年7月2日に国民栄誉賞を受賞した。通算レコーディング曲数は1,500曲、オリジナル楽曲は517曲であった。
このアルバムでは、カンツォーネ、ラテン、ハワイアン、ロシア民謡、アイルランド民謡、インドネシア民謡など世界中のポピュラー＆フォーク・ソングを唄っている。

Miyoshi Umeki (梅木 美代志, ナンシー梅木 May 8, 1929 - August 28, 2007; aged 78) was a Japanese-American singer and actress. Umeki was a Tony Award- and Golden Globe-nominated actress and the first Asian woman to win an Academy Award for acting. Born in Otaru, Hokkaido, she was the youngest of nine children. After World War II, Umeki began her career as a nightclub singer in Japan, using the name Nancy Umeki.
She was best known for her Oscar-winning role as Katsumi in the film Sayonara (1957), as well as Mei Li in the Broadway musical and 1961 film Flower Drum Song, and Mrs. Livingston in the television series The Courtship of Eddie's Father.
"Miyoahi" is her second album released on Mercury Records in 1958.

Wilson Moreira (12 December 1936 - 6 September 2018; aged 81) was a Brazilian sambista.
Moreira was born in the neighborhood of Realengo, in Rio de Janeiro. As a teenager he was associated with the samba school Mocidade, where he won two samba-enredo contests in 1962 and 1963. In 1968, Wilson became affiliated to samba school Portela.
Okolofé was released on Bomba Records in Japan in 1991.
