THE VOICE OF AUDREY MORRIS

Audrey Morris (November 12, 1928 - April 1, 2018; aged 89) was an American singer and pianist who specialized in jazz ballads.
In 1950, she began performing in the Capitol Lounge and four years later began singing at Mister Kelly's. In 1955 she sang with Charlie Spivak and in 1956 with Claude Thornhill in the NBC television show Moonlight in Vermont. She recorded her first album in 1955 for the RCA sub-label "X" (Bistro Ballads, with Johnny Pate); the following year for Bethlehem Records (The Voice of Audrey Morris with arrangements by Marty Paich).

Nara Lofego Leão (January 19, 1942 - June 7, 1989; aged 47) was a Brazilian bossa nova and MPB (popular Brazilian music) singer and occasional actress. As a teenager in the late 1950s, she became friends with a number of singers and composers who took part in Bossa Nova's musical revolution, including Roberto Menescal, Carlos Lyra, Ronaldo Boscoli, Joao Gilberto, Vinicius de Moraes and Antonio Carlos Jobim. In fact, it was in her apartment in her parents' home in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro that the new music was born in 1958.
Nara is an album by Nara Leão released in 1967.

Johanna had never had singing lessons, but she had listened to American singers like Doris Day, Jo Stafford, Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. Later, Billie Holiday and Shirley Horn influenced her.

Norma Deloris Egstrom (May 26, 1920 - January 21, 2002; aged 81), known professionally as Peggy Lee, was an American jazz and popular music singer, songwriter, composer, and actress, over a career spanning seven decades. From her beginning as a vocalist on local radio to singing with Benny Goodman's big band, Lee created a sophisticated persona, writing music for films, acting, and recording conceptual record albums combining poetry and music. Lee recorded over 1,100 masters and composed over 270 songs.
Black Coffee is the first album by Peggy Lee. It was released in the 10-inch format in 1953 by Decca. In 1956, at the request of the record label, Lee recorded four more songs for a reissue of the album in the 12-inch LP format.
