Geri Antoinette Allen (June 12, 1957 – June 27, 2017; aged 60) was an American jazz pianist, composer, and educator. In addition to her career as a performer and bandleader, Allen was also an associate professor of music at the University of Pittsburgh and the director of the university's Jazz Studies program.
Home Grown is an album by Geri Allen recorded in West Germany in early 1985 and released on the German Minor Music label.

Marthaniel "Marcus" Roberts (born August 7, 1963; age 60) is an American jazz pianist, composer, arranger, bandleader, and teacher. Blind since age five due to glaucoma and cataracts. He attended the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind in St. Augustine, Florida, the alma mater of Ray Charles. In the 1980s, Roberts replaced pianist Kenny Kirkland in Wynton Marsalis's band. Like Marsalis's, his music is rooted in the traditional jazz of the past.
Alone with Three Giants is solo performance album by Marcus Roberts, released in 1991 on the Novus label.

His use of impressionist harmony, interpretation of traditional jazz repertoire, block chords, and trademark rhythmically independent, "singing" melodic lines continues to influence jazz pianists today.
Luiz Mainzi da Cunha Eça (April 3, 1936 – May 24, 1992; aged 56) was a samba and bossa nova pianist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, who was a member of the Tamba Trio with Helcio Milito and Bebeto Castilho.

Alfred McCoy Tyner (December 11, 1938 - March 6, 2020; aged 81) was an American jazz pianist and composer known for his work with the John Coltrane Quartet and a long solo career. He was an NEA Jazz Master and a five-time Grammy winner. Not a player of electric keyboards and synthesizers, he was committed to acoustic instrumentation. Tyner, who was widely imitated, is one of the most recognizable and most influential pianists in jazz history.
Live at Sweet Basil is a 1989 live album by McCoy Tyner released on the Japanese King label. It was recorded in May 1989 and features performances by Tyner's trio which included bassist Avery Sharpe and drummer Aaron Scott at the Sweet Basil Jazz Club in New York City.

His scores for the films of French New Wave director Jacques Demy, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) and The Young Girls of Rochefort (1967), earned Legrand his first Academy Award nominations.

MALINY MALINY - THE JAN HAMMER TRIO

Jan Hammer (born 17 April 1948; age 75) is a Czech-American musician, composer, and record producer. He first gained his most visible audience while playing keyboards with the Mahavishnu Orchestra during the early 1970s, as well as his film scores for television and film including "Miami Vice Theme" and "Crockett's Theme", from the 1980s television program Miami Vice.
Hammer recorded a jazz trio live album at "The Domicile" in Munich on 30 August 1968. This was released as Malma Maliny by the German label MPS Records. Hammer decided to move to the United States and resolved to become a citizen after receiving a scholarship at Berklee School of Music in Boston.
