He began playing with Earland at 17 and in the following years with Lou Donaldson, Houston Person, Donald Byrd, Stanley Turrentine, and Jimmy McGriff. He moved to Philadelphia and later New York City in the 1970s and recorded extensively as a leader.

Christian Escoudé (born 1947) is a French Gypsy jazz guitarist. His father was also a guitarist who was influenced by Django Reinhardt. His style is a mix of bebop and gypsy jazz influences, featuring the use of vibrato, portamento, and fast runs.
Pierre Michelot (3 March 1928 – 3 July 2005; aged 77) was a French jazz double bass player and arranger. He played and recorded with visiting American musicians in Paris. With Miles Davis he was responsible for the 1957 soundtrack of Ascenseur pour l'échafaud. He was a member of the Jacques Loussier Trio, known for the Play Bach album series from 1959.
Live at the Village Vanguard is an album by Christian Escoudé = Pierre Michelot Quartet recorded at Village Vanguard in 1991.

René Thomas (25 February 1926 – 3 January 1975; aged 48) was a Belgian jazz guitarist. In the early 1950s, he moved to Paris, France, and became part of the modern jazz scene, playing in the style of Jimmy Raney. He spent brief periods in the United States from 1958 to 1962. Back in Europe, he toured and recorded with Chet Baker, Bobby Jaspar, Kenny Clarke, Eddy Louiss, Stan Getz, Lucky Thompson, Sonny Criss and others.
Blue Note, Paris 1964 is an album by René Thomas recorded at Blue Note, Paris in 1964 and released on the Royal Jazz label, 1990.

Larry Coryell (born Lorenz Albert Van DeLinder III; April 2, 1943 - February 19, 2017; aged 73) was an American jazz guitarist.
Planet End is an album by Larry Coryell that was released in 1975 by Vanguard Records. It was the final recording for Vanguard and reached number 39 on the 1976 Jazz Albums chart. The album consists of tracks recorded in 1974 by the then-current line-up of Coryell's band The Eleventh House (before Danny Trifan was replaced by John Lee on bass); plus two outtakes from the March 1969 sessions that produced the 1970 album, Spaces.
