ZEBRA - JACK DeJOHNETTE feat. LESTER BOWIE

Jack DeJohnette (born August 9, 1942; age 79) is an American jazz drummer, pianist, and composer.
An important figure of the fusion era of jazz, DeJohnette is one of the most influential jazz drummers of the 20th century, given his extensive work as leader and sideman for musicians including Charles Lloyd, Freddie Hubbard, Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, John Abercrombie, Alice Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Joe Henderson, Michael Brecker, Herbie Hancock and John Scofield. He was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2007.
Zebra is an album by Jack DeJohnette featuring trumpeter Lester Bowie recorded in 1985 for the video program titled "Tadayuki Naito/Zebra" and released on the MCA label in 1989.

Warren Harding "Sonny" Sharrock (August 27, 1940 - May 25, 1994; aged 53) was an American jazz guitarist. He was married to singer Linda Sharrock, with whom he recorded and performed. One of few guitarists in the first wave of free jazz in the 1960s, Sharrock was known for his heavily chorded attack, his highly amplified bursts of feedback, and his use of saxophone-like lines played loudly on guitar.
Black Woman is the debut album by Sonny Sharrock which was recorded in 1969 and released on the Vortex label.

Albert Gene Drewery, known as Albert Collins and the Ice Man (October 1, 1932 - November 24, 1993; aged 61), was an American electric blues guitarist and singer with a distinctive guitar style. He was noted for his powerful playing and his use of altered tunings and a capo. His long association with the Fender Telecaster led to the title "The Master of the Telecaster".
Ice Pickin' is a studio album by Albert Collins, released in 1978. It was Collins's breakthrough album. Ice Pickin' was nominated for a 1979 Grammy Award.

Pat Martino (August 25, 1944; age 77) is an American jazz guitarist and composer. Martino played and recorded early in his career with Lloyd Price, Willis Jackson, and Eric Kloss. He also worked with jazz organists Charles Earland, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Jack McDuff, Don Patterson, Trudy Pitts, Jimmy Smith, Gene Ludwig, and Joey DeFrancesco. Martino is married to Ayako Asahi Martino, whom he met in Tokyo, Japan, in 1995.

John McLaughlin (born 4 January 1942; age 79) is an English guitarist, bandleader, and composer. A pioneer of jazz fusion, his music combines elements of jazz with rock, world music, Indian classical music, Western classical music, flamenco, and blues.
Love Devotion Surrender is an album released in 1973 by Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin, with the backing of their respective bands, Santana and The Mahavishnu Orchestra. The album was inspired by the teachings of Sri Chinmoy and intended as a tribute to John Coltrane.

Amy Winehouse at the BBC is a posthumous live album by Amy Winehouse. It was released on 12 November 2012 by Universal Music Group. The album, along with Winehouse's previous record Lioness: Hidden Treasures, was released in aid of the Amy Winehouse Foundation. It features live songs performed by Winehouse at BBC specials during 2004 to 2009.

Lavoe is considered to be possibly the best and most important singer and interpreter in the history of salsa music because he helped to establish the popularity of this musical genre in the decades of 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
Crime Pays is a vintage collection of Willie Colon's early lounge recordings from the late 1960s and early 1970s mainly with Hector Lavoe.

Vicente Montoliu Massana, better known as Tete Montoliu (28 March 1933 - 24 August 1997; aged 64) was a Spanish jazz pianist from Catalonia, Spain. Born blind, he learnt Braille music at age seven. His styles varied from hard bop, through afro-cuban, world fusion, to post bop. He recorded with Lionel Hampton in 1956 and played with saxophonist Roland Kirk in 1963. He also worked with leading American jazz musicians who toured in, or relocated to Europe including Kenny Dorham, Dexter Gordon, Ben Webster, Lucky Thompson, and Anthony Braxton.
Catalonian Fire is an album by Tete Montoliu's trio recorded in 1974 and released on the Danish label, SteepleChase.

Donald Eugene Cherry (November 18, 1936 - October 19, 1995; aged 58) was an American jazz trumpeter. Cherry had a long association with free jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman, which began in the late 1950s.
