IRON MAN - ERIC DOLPHY

Eric Allan Dolphy Jr. (June 20, 1928 - June 29, 1964; aged 36) was an American jazz alto saxophonist, bass clarinetist and flutist. On a few occasions, he also played the clarinet and piccolo. Dolphy was one of several multi-instrumentalists to gain prominence around the time that he was active. His use of the bass clarinet helped to establish the instrument within jazz. Dolphy extended the vocabulary and boundaries of the alto saxophone, and was among the earliest significant jazz flute soloists.
Iron Man is an album by Eric Dolphy, recorded in 1963 and originally released by the Douglas International label in 1968.

He is best known for a series of albums under his own name on the CTI record label and for playing in the initial incarnation of Chick Corea's Return to Forever.
Canned Funk is a jazz album by Joe Farrell for CTI Records. It was recorded at Van Gelder Studios November and December 1974. The album was released in 1975.

John Stubblefield (February 4, 1945 – July 4, 2005; aged 60) was an American jazz saxophonist, flautist, and oboist.
He studied music at the AACM(Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians) with Muhal Richard Abrams in Chicago before moving to New York City in 1971. After moving to New York, Stubblefield played with the Mingus Big Band for 13 years. During his career, Stubblefield played with the World Saxophone Quartet (1986–1988), Reggie Workman (1989–1993), McCoy Tyner (1984), Freddie Hubbard (1985), and George Russell (1985).

NUITS DE LA FONDATION MAEGHT 1970 - ALBERT AYLER

Albert Ayler (July 13, 1936 - November 25, 1970; aged 34) was an American avant-garde jazz saxophonist, singer and composer.
After early experience playing R&B and bebop, Ayler began recording music during the free jazz era of the 1960s. However, some critics argue that while Ayler's style is undeniably original and unorthodox, it does not adhere to the generally accepted critical understanding of free jazz. His innovations have inspired subsequent jazz musicians.
Nuits de La Fondation Maeght is a live album by Albert Ayler recorded on July 27, 1970 at the Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France, and originally released in 1971 in two volumes on the Shandar label. The album documents one of the last known performances by Ayler prior to his death in November of that year.
