Mo' Greens Please is the second album by Freddie Roach recorded in 1963 and released on the Blue Note label. It was reissued on CD only in Japan, as a limited edition.

CARRYIN' ON - GRANT GREEN

Grant Green (June 6, 1935 - January 31, 1979; aged 43) was an American jazz guitarist and composer.
Recording prolifically for Blue Note Records as both leader and sideman, Green performed in the hard bop, soul jazz, bebop, and Latin-tinged idioms throughout his career. Apart from guitarist Charlie Christian, Green's primary influences were saxophonists, particularly Charlie Parker, and his approach was therefore almost exclusively linear rather than chordal.
Carryin' On is an album by Grant Green featuring performances recorded in 1969 and released on the Blue Note label. The album marked Green's return to the Blue Note label and embracing a jazz-funk style that he would play for the rest of his life.

Edward Gale Stevens Jr. (August 15, 1941 - July 10, 2020; aged 78), known professionally as Eddie Gale, was an American trumpeter known for his work in free jazz, especially with the Sun Ra Arkestra.
During the 1960s and 1970s, he toured and recorded extensively with Sun Ra, who influenced him greatly until Ra's death in 1993.
Ghetto Music is the debut album by Eddie Gale recorded in 1968 and released on the Blue Note label.

The Kenny Clarke/Francy Boland Big Band was a jazz big band co-led by American drummer Kenny Clarke and Belgian pianist Francois "Francy" Boland. They were one of the most noteworthy jazz big bands formed outside the United States, featuring top European musicians alongside expatriate and touring Americans.
The Golden 8 is an album by Kenny Clarke and Francy Boland recorded live in Gigi Campi's 'gelateria' in Cologne, Germany in 1961 and released on the Blue Note label. The album established the relationship which led to the formation of the Kenny Clarke/Francy Boland Big Band.

THE ALL SEEING EYE - WAYNE SHORTER

Wayne Shorter (born August 25, 1933) is an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Shorter came to wide prominence in the late 1950s as a member of, and eventually primary composer for, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. In the 1960s, he went on to join Miles Davis's Second Great Quintet, and from there he co-founded the jazz fusion band Weather Report. He has recorded over 20 albums as a bandleader.
The All Seeing Eye is the ninth jazz album by Wayne Shorter, recorded on October 15, 1965, and released on the Blue Note label as BLP 4219 and BST 84219.

UNITY - LARRY YOUNG

Larry Young (also known as Khalid Yasin ; October 7, 1940 - March 30, 1978; aged 37) was an American jazz organist and occasional pianist. Young's early work was strongly influenced by the soul jazz of Jimmy Smith, but he later pioneered a more experimental, modal approach to the Hammond B-3.
Unity is an album by jazz organist Larry Young, released on the Blue Note label in August, 1966. The album features trumpeter Woody Shaw, tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson and drummer Elvin Jones. While not free jazz, the album features experimentation that was innovative for the time.

Lou Donaldson (born November 1, 1926) is an American semi-retired jazz alto saxophonist. He is best known for his soulful, bluesy approach to playing the alto saxophone, although in his formative years he was, as many were of the bebop era, heavily influenced by Charlie Parker.
Blues Walk is an album by Lou Donaldson, recorded July 28, 1958 at Van Gelder Studio. It has been considered Donaldson's "undisputed masterpiece".
