Clarence Eugene Shaw, sometimes credited as Gene Shaw (June 16, 1926 – August 17, 1973; aged 47) was an American jazz trumpeter and a student of Fourth Way psychology. He attended the Detroit Institute of Music, and studied with pianist Barry Harris.
Breakthrough is an album by Gene Shaw, recorded in 1962, Chicago and released on the Argo label.

THOUGHTS - BILL DIXON

William Robert Dixon (October 5, 1925 – June 16, 2010; aged 84) was an American composer and educator. Dixon was one of the seminal figures in free jazz and late twentieth-century contemporary music. His was also a prominent activist for artist's rights and African American music tradition. He played the trumpet, flugelhorn, and piano, often using electronic delay and reverb.
Thoughts is an album by Bill Dixon recorded in 1985 and released on the Italian Soul Note label.

ETERNAL RHYTHM - DON CHERRY

Donald Eugene Cherry (November 18, 1936 - October 19, 1995; aged 58) was an American jazz trumpeter. Cherry had a long association with free jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman, which began in the late 1950s. He also performed alongside musicians such as John Coltrane, Charlie Haden, Sun Ra, Ed Blackwell, the New York Contemporary Five, and Albert Ayler. In the 1970s, Cherry became a pioneer in world fusion music, drawing on traditional African, Middle Eastern, and Hindustani music.
Eternal Rhythm is a jazz album composed by Don Cherry. It was recorded in conjunction with the Berlin Jazz Festival in November 1968.

Dusko Goykovich (14 October 1931 – 5 April 2023; aged 91) is a Serbian and Yugoslav jazz trumpeter, composer, and arranger. Goykovich played with Chet Baker, Stan Getz, and Oscar Pettiford. In 1958, he performed at Newport Jazz Festival and drew attention on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. He worked with the Kenny Clarke/Francy Boland Big Band from 1968–1973.
Munich Serenade is an album by Dusko Goykovich recorded in 1997, released on Japanese Paddle Wheel label.

He was a trumpet virtuoso and improviser, building on the virtuoso style of Roy Eldridge but adding layers of harmonic and rhythmic complexity previously unheard in jazz. His combination of musicianship, showmanship, and wit made him a leading popularizer of the new music called bebop.
Groovin' High is a 1955 compilation album of studio sessions by Dizzy Gillespie.

Benny Golson (born January 25, 1929; age 95) is an American bebop/hard bop jazz tenor saxophonist, composer, and arranger. Golson is known for co-founding and co-leading The Jazztet with trumpeter Art Farmer in 1959. Many of Golson's compositions have become jazz standards including "I Remember Clifford", "Blues March", "Stablemates", "Whisper Not", "Along Came Betty", and "Killer Joe".
Meet the Jazztet is an album by the Jazztet, led by Art Farmer and Benny Golson featuring performances recorded in 1960 and originally released on the Argo label.

Organic Resonance is a live album by Wadada Leo Smith and Anthony Braxton, which was recorded live at New York's Tonic club in 2003 and released on Pi Recordings. It was their first full duo recording.

His unmistakable and influential tone contributed to new perspectives for modern jazz and bebop. The Black Angel is a studio album by Freddie Hubbard, recorded in 1969 and released in 1970. It was his fourth release on the Atlantic label and features performances by Hubbard, James Spaulding, Kenny Barron, Reggie Workman, Louis Hayes and Carlos "Patato" Valdes.

LIVE-EVIL - MILES DAVIS

Live-Evil is an album of both live and studio recordings by American jazz musician Miles Davis. Parts of the album featured music from Davis' concert at the Cellar Door in 1970, which producer Teo Macero subsequently edited and pieced together in the studio. They were performed as lengthy, dense jams in the jazz-rock style, while the studio recordings consisted mostly of renditions of Hermeto Pascoal compositions. The album was originally released on November 17, 1971.
