Michael Leonard Brecker (March 29, 1949 - January 13, 2007; aged 57) was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. He was awarded 15 Grammy Awards as both performer and composer. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Berklee College of Music in 2004, and was inducted into the Down Beat Jazz Hall of Fame in 2007.
Two Blocks from the Edge is Michael Brecker's fifth album as a leader. It was recorded in 1997 at Avatar Studios in New York City, and released in 1998. It features pianist Joey Calderazzo and drummer Jeff “Tain” Watts, noted for their work with Branford Marsalis.

He was a frequent collaborator with pianist Richie Beirach. In June 2010, he received a NEA Jazz Masters lifetime achievement award from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
Live As Always is live compilation album by the Dave Liebman Big Band, recorded in 2005-2007 and released on the Mama label, 2010.

ART FORUM - GREG OSBY

Greg Osby (born August 3, 1960; age 63) is an American saxophonist and composer. In 1985, he joined DeJohnette's group Special Edition. With Geri Allen, Steve Coleman, Gary Thomas, and Cassandra Wilson, he was a founding member of the M-Base Collective. Osby began recording albums under his own name for JMT Records in the mid-1980s, then signed with Blue Note in 1989. In 2007, he formed his own label, Inner Circle Music.
Art Forum is an album by Greg Osby released in 1996 on the Blue Note label.

He was also a member of the Saturday Night Live Band.

Reunion with Chet Baker is an album recorded in 1957 by Gerry Mulligan Quartet with trumpeter Chet Baker which was released by Pacific label.

Teruo Nakamura (中村 照夫, Nakamura Teruo, born 3 March 3, 1942) is a Japanese jazz bassist and record producer. He studied at Nihon University before moving to New York in 1964. He studied there with Reggie Workman. Nakamura in 1969 joined drummer Roy Haynes's ensemble; that same year he also formed a band with Steve Grossman and Lenny White, who both went on to play on his debut as a leader, 1973's Unicorn. Nakamura formed the Rising Sun band in the mid-1970s.
New York Music Diary 1976-77 is an album by Teruo Nakamura & Rising Sun which was 2 in 1 album from 'Song of the Birds' and 'Rising Sun'.
