Gilbert Scott-Heron (April 1, 1949 - May 27, 2011; aged 62) was an American soul and jazz poet, musician, and author, known primarily for his work as a spoken-word performer in the 1970s and 1980s. His collaborative efforts with musician Brian Jackson featured a musical fusion of jazz, blues, and soul, as well as lyrical content concerning social and political issues of the time, delivered in both rapping and melismatic vocal styles by Scott-Heron.
Reflections is an album by Gil Scott-Heron, released in 1981 on Arista label.

OUT THERE - ERIC DOLPHY

Eric Allan Dolphy Jr. (June 20, 1928 - June 29, 1964) was an American jazz alto saxophonist, bass clarinetist and flutist. On a few occasions, he also played the clarinet and piccolo. Dolphy was one of several multi-instrumentalists to gain prominence around the time that he was active. His use of the bass clarinet helped to establish the instrument within jazz. Dolphy extended the vocabulary and boundaries of the alto saxophone, and was among the earliest significant jazz flute soloists.
Out There is a studio album by Eric Dolphy, released by Prestige Records in September 1961. It was Dolphy's second album released as band leader, following his time with Charles Mingus.

John William Coltrane (September 23, 1926 - July 17, 1967; aged 40) was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Working in the bebop and hard bop idioms early in his career, Coltrane helped pioneer the use of modes and was at the forefront of free jazz. He led at least fifty recording sessions and appeared on many albums by other musicians, including trumpeter Miles Davis and pianist Thelonious Monk.
Bahia is an album by John Coltrane, released in 1965 on Prestige Records, catalogue 7353. It was recorded at two sessions at the studio of Rudy Van Gelder in Hackensack, New Jersey in 1958.

Ravi Shankar (7 April 1920 - 11 December 2012; aged 92) was an Indian sitarist and composer. A sitar virtuoso, he became the world's best-known exponent of North Indian classical music in the second half of the 20th century, and influenced many musicians in India and throughout the world.
This album is a compilation of tracks from the albums "West Meets East" (1966) & "West Meets East 2" (1968).

Airto Guimorvan Moreira (born August 5, 1941; age 80) is a Brazilian jazz drummer and percussionist. He is married to jazz singer Flora Purim, and their daughter Diana Moreira is also a singer. Coming to prominence in the late 1960s as a member of the Brazilian ensemble Quarteto Novo, he moved to the United States and worked in jazz fusion with Miles Davis and Chick Corea's Return to Forever.
Promises of the Sun is an album by Airto Moreira featuring performances recorded in 1976 and released on the Arista label.

早坂紗知(ハヤサカ・サチ)。1960年2月26日東京生まれ。大学卒業後に[Stir Up!]というユニットで新宿Pit Innデビュー。 1987年ハンス・ライヒェル(独ギターリスト)に招かれ初のヨーロッパツアーを行い 「形にとらわれない自由な音作り」と高く評価され、日本人初女性サックス奏者としても世界から注目を浴びる。1990年からNYを中心に活動。 以後もドイツ、オランダ、韓国などのジャズフェスティバルに招聘され人気を博す。2014年「TReS」で南米ツアーを行い、ブエノスアイレス国際ジャズフェスティバルに出演。25年以上、故・原田芳雄&Flower Topのメンバーとして在籍、宇崎竜童vo、おおたか静流vo、カルメン・マキvo、長谷川きよしvoなどジャンルにこだわらずを演奏の場を広げている。
