FÔRÇA BRUTA - JORGE BEN

Jorge Duílio Lima Menezes (born March 22, 1942; age 80) is a Brazilian popular musician, performing under the stage name Jorge Ben Jor since the 1980s, though commonly known by his former stage name Jorge Ben. His hits include "Chove Chuva", "Mas Que Nada", "Ive Brussel" and "Balança Pema", and have been interpreted by artists such as Caetano Veloso, Sérgio Mendes, Miriam Makeba, Soulfly and Marisa Monte.
Fôrça Bruta is the seventh studio album by Jorge Ben. It was recorded with the Trio Mocotó band and released by Philips Records in September 1970, during a time of political tension in dictatorial Brazil.

Gianni Ferrio (16 November 1924 – 21 October 2013; aged 88) was an Italian composer, conductor and music arranger.
Gino Marinacci (August 24, 1926 - 1982) was an Italian flutist, saxophonist and composer.
Marina Moran, pseudonym of Silvia Maria de Lourdes (Aracaju, September 20, 1941), is a Brazilian singer. She made her debut very young in 1958 in Brazil, becoming very popular with the song Lady Bossa Nova, which also became her nickname. In 1963 she recorded the album Lady Bossa Nova in Italy, accompanied by the orchestra of Gianni Ferrio, with some well-known Brazilian songs such as Desafinado and her success, Lady Bossa Nova.

CHRISTMAS - THE SINGERS UNLIMITED

The Singers Unlimited was a four-part jazz vocal group formed by Gene Puerling in 1971. The group included Len Dresslar, Bonnie Herman, and Don Shelton. The Singers Unlimited were created to record for commercials, but as time passed they were persuaded to record albums. On the recommendation of jazz pianist Oscar Peterson, they signed a contract with MPS Records in Germany. Peterson's trio played on their first-recorded album, In Tune. The group made fifteen albums. Fourteen were recorded for MPS between 1971 and 1982 and were collected in the box set Magic Voices.
Christmas is an album released on the MPS label in 1972.

David Pell (February 26, 1925 – May 7, 2017; aged 92) was an American jazz saxophonist, bandleader and record producer. He was best known for leading a cool jazz octet in the 1950s.
"Mah Nà Mah Nà" is a popular song by Italian composer Piero Umiliani. It originally appeared in the Italian film Sweden: Heaven and Hell (Svezia, inferno e paradiso). It was a minor radio hit in the United States and in Britain, but became better known internationally for its use by The Muppets and on The Benny Hill Show.

浅川マキ(1942年1月27日 - 2010年1月17日 67歳没)石川県出身、作詞(詩)家、作曲家、編曲家。1969年7月1日、寺本幸司のプロデュースによる「夜が明けたら」(EXPRESS-レーベル)で正式にレコード・デビュー。以後移籍することなく作品を発表しつつステージを主体に音楽活動を行った。
「夜のカーニバル」は、1987年~88年、京大西部講堂、池袋文芸座、新宿紀伊国屋ホールでのライブ音源である。

Stephen Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 - August 27, 1990; aged 35) was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer, best known as the guitarist and frontman of the blues rock band Double Trouble. Although his mainstream career only spanned seven years, he is considered an icon and one of the most influential musicians in the history of blues music, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
In Step is the fourth studio album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble released in 1989. It was also Vaughan's final album with Double Trouble, and also Vaughan's last album to be released during his lifetime.

Kevin Ayers (16 August 1944 – 18 February 2013; aged 68) was an English singer-songwriter who was active in the English psychedelic music movement. Ayers was a founding member of the psychedelic band Soft Machine in the mid-1960s, and was closely associated with the Canterbury scene. He recorded a series of albums as a solo artist and over the years worked with Brian Eno, Syd Barrett, Bridget St John, John Cale, Elton John, Robert Wyatt, Andy Summers, Mike Oldfield, Nico and Ollie Halsall, among others.
Shooting at the Moon is the second solo album of Kevin Ayers, on Harvest Records.

SPIRIT OF THE NEW LAND - DOUG CARN

Doug Carn (born July 14, 1948) is an American jazz musician from St. Augustine, Florida, formerly married to Jean Carne and known for his several albums released for Black Jazz Records. Carn is a multi-instrumentalist known primarily for his work on organ and piano.
Carn recorded several albums on the Black Jazz Records label during the 1970s that have since achieved cult classic status, including Infant Eyes, Adam's Apple, and Revelation. He worked with Nat Adderley, Earth, Wind & Fire, Shirley Horn, Lou Donaldson, Stanley Turrentine, and Irene Reid.
Spirit of the New Land is the second album of Doug Carn, on Black Jazz Records in 1972.
