Gertrude E."Trudy" Pitts (August 10, 1932 - December 19, 2010; aged 78) was an American soul jazz keyboardist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was known primarily for playing the Hammond B3 organ.
Introducing the Fabulous Trudy Pitts is the debut album by Trudy Pitts which was recorded in 1967 and released on the Prestige label.

Pat Martino (born Patrick Carmen Azzara; August 25, 1944 - November 1, 2021; aged 77) was an American jazz guitarist and composer. Martino played and recorded early in his career with Lloyd Price, Willis Jackson, and Eric Kloss. He also worked with jazz organists Charles Earland, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Jack McDuff, Don Patterson, Trudy Pitts, Jimmy Smith, Gene Ludwig and Joey DeFrancesco.
Exit is an album by Pat Martino which was recorded in 1976 and first released on the Muse label.

Sam Lazar (born 1933) was an American pianist and Hammond organist originally from St. Louis, Missouri, United States. A mysterious figure who disappeared from the music scene in the early 1960s, he is best known for fronting a group that included early work from guitarist Grant Green. Lazar's career was heavily influenced by fellow organist Jimmy Smith.
Space Flight is an album recorded by Sam Lazar on June 1, 1960 for Argo Records. This was Lazar's debut recording, and the second recording by guitarist Grant Green.

John Robert "Johnny Hammond" Smith (December 16, 1933 - June 4, 1997; aged 63) was an American soul jazz and hard bop organist. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he was a renowned player of the Hammond B-3 organ so earning "Hammond" as a nickname, which also avoided his being confused with jazz guitarist Johnny Smith.
The Stinger is an album by Johnny "Hammond" Smith recorded for the Prestige label in 1965.

THIS IS WALT DICKERSON!

Walter Roland Dickerson (April 16, 1928 - May 15, 2008; aged 80) was an American jazz vibraphone player, most associated with the post-bop idiom. For the Prestige label he recorded four albums. In 1962 Down Beat named him the best new artist.
From 1965 to 1975, he took a break from jazz, but later he worked again with Andrew Hill and Sun Ra. After 1975 Dickerson recorded several albums for the Danish Steeplechase label.
This Is Walt Dickerson! is the debut album led by Walt Dickerson recorded in 1961 and released on the New Jazz label.

FONTESSA - THE MODERN JAZZ QUARTET

The Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ) was a jazz combo established in 1952 that played music influenced by classical, cool jazz, blues and bebop. For most of its history the Quartet consisted of John Lewis (piano), Milt Jackson (vibraphone), Percy Heath (double bass), and Connie Kay (drums). The group grew out of the rhythm section of Dizzy Gillespie's big band from 1946 to 1948, which consisted of Lewis and Jackson along with bassist Ray Brown and drummer Kenny Clarke.
Fontessa is a 1956 album by the Modern Jazz Quartet released on Atlantic Records. It was the first of their albums released on Atlantic.

He explored other jazz idioms, even as he continued to perform the music of Cuba, the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America. Tjader played the vibraphone primarily, but was accomplished on the drums, bongos, congas, timpani, and the piano.

Herbert Jeffrey Hancock (born April 12, 1940; age 80) is an American jazz pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, composer, and occasional actor. Hancock started his career with trumpeter Donald Byrd's group. He shortly thereafter joined the Miles Davis Quintet, where he helped to redefine the role of a jazz rhythm section and was one of the primary architects of the post-bop sound. In the 1970s, Hancock experimented with jazz fusion, funk, and electro styles, utilizing a wide array of synthesizers and electronics.
Mr. Hands is the twenty-fourth album by Herbie Hancock. Unlike the preceding album, 'Monster', which was conceptualized as a dance album, 'Mr. Hands' is a collection of different musical styles with distinct groups.

Wayne Shorter (born August 25, 1933; age 88) is an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Shorter came to prominence in the late 1950s as a member of, and eventually primary composer for, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. In the 1960s, he joined Miles Davis's Second Great Quintet, and then co-founded the jazz fusion band Weather Report. He has recorded over 20 albums as a bandleader.
Native Dancer is the fifteenth album by Wayne Shorter. It is a collaboration with Brazilian musician Milton Nascimento, and features some of his most acclaimed compositions. It is notable for blending jazz, rock and funk elements with Brazilian rhythms in an attempt to create "world" music broadly accessible to people from many different cultures.
