EMERGENCY! - THE TONY WILLIAMS LIFETIME

Anthony Tillmon Williams (December 12, 1945 - February 23, 1997; aged 51) was an American jazz drummer. Williams first gained fame in the band of trumpeter Miles Davis and pioneered jazz fusion. He was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1986.
Emergency! is the debut album by the American jazz fusion group The Tony Williams Lifetime featuring Williams with guitarist John McLaughlin and organist Larry Young. It was recorded and released in 1969 and was one of the first significant fusion recordings. The album is commonly regarded as an influential album in the jazz, rock, and fusion genres.

William Emanuel Cobham Jr. (born May 16, 1944; age 79) is a Panamanian–American jazz drummer who came to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s with trumpeter Miles Davis and then with the Mahavishnu Orchestra. He was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1987 and the Classic Drummer Hall of Fame in 2013.
Spectrum is the debut solo album by Billy Cobham, recorded in 1973 and released on the Atlantic label.

BASH! - THE DAVE BAILEY SEXTET

Samuel David Bailey (February 22, 1926 – December 28, 2023; aged 97) was an American jazz drummer.
Bailey played with Herbie Jones from 1951 to 1953 and later with Johnny Hodges, Charles Mingus, Lou Donaldson, Curtis Fuller, Billy Taylor, Art Farmer, Ben Webster, and Horace Silver. Between 1954 and 1968, he played on several sessions led by Gerry Mulligan, and in the 1960s he played with Clark Terry, Kenny Dorham, Grant Green, Lee Konitz, Cal Tjader, Roger Kellaway, and Bob Brookmeyer.
Bash! is an album by Dave Bailey which was originally released on the Jazzline label in 1961.

PEACEFUL THUNDER - LOUIE BELLSON

Louie Bellson (born Luigi Paolino Alfredo Francesco Antonio Balassoni, July 6, 1924 – February 14, 2009; age 84), often seen in sources as Louis Bellson, although he himself preferred the spelling Louie, was an American jazz drummer. He was a composer, arranger, bandleader, and jazz educator, and is credited with pioneering the use of two bass drums. Bellson was a vice president at Remo, a drum company. He was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1985.
Peaceful Thunder is an album by Louie Bellson, released in 1992 on the Musicmasters label.

Hiroshi Murakami (村上 寛, Murakami Hiroshi, born March 14, 1948, Tokyo; age 75) is a Japanese jazz drummer.
Murakami began playing percussion as a teenager, and was playing in a group with Takehiro Honda at age 19. He would go on to play with Masabumi Kikuchi, Kosuke Mine, and Sadao Watanabe in the 1970s, in addition to drumming for the group Native Son.
Dancing Sphinx is first album by Hiroshi Murakami, recorded in 1978.

He was attended the Tokyo University of the Arts, taking a degree in percussion performance. He joined Yosuke Yamashita's small group in 1967, and went on several international tours with the group until leaving it in 1975. He moved to Nagoya in 1977 and began leading his own groups.

In a career lasting over 75 years he has played swing, bebop, jazz fusion, avant-garde jazz and is considered a father of modern jazz drumming. "Snap Crackle" was a nickname given to him in the 1950s. He was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1999.
