Gloria Coleman (died February 18, 2010) was an American musician.
Coleman played bass, piano then organ. As a jazz organist she released two albums. Coleman married saxophonist George Coleman. The couple had two children and divorced.

Lionel Leo Hampton (April 20, 1908 - August 31, 2002; aged 94) was an American jazz vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader. Hampton worked with jazz musicians from Teddy Wilson, Benny Goodman, and Buddy Rich to Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus, and Quincy Jones. In 1992, he was inducted into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, and was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 1996.

The Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra was a jazz big band formed by trumpeter Thad Jones and drummer Mel Lewis in New York in 1965. The band performed for twelve years in its original incarnation.
