THE SHADOW OF LOVE - MINA AOE

青江 三奈(1941年5月7日 - 2000年7月2日; 59歳没)は、日本の歌手(演歌・歌謡曲など)。
1966年に「恍惚のブルース」でメジャーデビューし、80万枚を売り上げるヒットとなる。1968年に「伊勢佐木町ブルース」が100万枚、「長崎ブルース」が120万枚をそれぞれ売り上げていずれもミリオンセラーを記録し、「伊勢佐木町ブルース」で第10回日本レコード大賞歌唱賞と第1回日本有線大賞スター賞を受賞した。1969年に「池袋の夜」が150万枚を売り上げて自身最大のヒット曲となり、史上初めて2年連続で第11回日本レコード大賞歌唱賞を受賞した。
「THE SHADOW OF LOVE」は、1993年ニューヨークにてフレディ・コール、グローバー・ワシントンJr.、マル・ウォルドロンらをゲストに迎えてレコーディングされた。

BLUE BURTON - ANN BURTON

Ann Burton (March 4, 1933, Amsterdam - November 29, 1989, Amsterdam; aged 59) is the pseudonym of Johanna Rafalowicz, a Dutch jazz singer.
Johanna had never had singing lessons, but she had listened to American singers like Doris Day, Jo Stafford, Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. Later, Billie Holiday and Shirley Horn influenced her.
In the late 60's she was noticed by John J. Vis, the director of the record company Artone, and he produced her first album "Blue Burton" in 1967. On this record the trio of Louis van Dyke, accompanied her. She became popular and the album received an Edison Award in 1969.

Elis Regina Carvalho Costa (March 17, 1945 - January 19, 1982; aged 36), known professionally as Elis Regina, was a Brazilian singer of popular and jazz music, she is also the mother of the singers Maria Rita and Pedro Mariano. Her untimely death, at the age of 36, shocked Brazil.
Elis is an album by Elis Regina released in 1972. It was listed by Rolling Stone Brazil as one of the 100 best Brazilian albums in history.

Leon Thomas in Berlin is a live album by Leon Thomas with the saxophonist/arranger Oliver Nelson. The album was recorded in 1970 in Berlin and released by Flying Dutchman.
