MUDDY WATERS AT NEWPORT 1960

McKinley Morganfield (April 4, 1913 - April 30, 1983; aged 70), known professionally as Muddy Waters, was an American blues singer-songwriter and musician who was an important figure in the post-war blues scene, and is often cited as the "father of modern Chicago blues."
Muddy Waters' music has influenced various American music genres, including rock and roll and rock music.
At Newport 1960 is a live album by Muddy Waters recorded during his performance at the Newport Jazz Festival on July 3, 1960. With his longtime backup band, Muddy Waters plays a mix of his older popular tunes and some newer compositions. Chess Records released the album in the United States on November 15, 1960.
At Newport 1960 is sometimes referred to as the first live blues album and has received critical acclaim.

吉田 類(1949年6月1日 - 72歳)は、日本のライター。「酒場詩人」の肩書で紹介されることが多く、居酒屋探訪家としての活動で知られる。その他にイラストレーター、俳人としても活動する。
このアルバムは、2013年に番組の10周年を記念して制作された。番組のオープニング曲「Bad Bad Whiskey」などを歌っているエイモス・ミルバーン(Amos Milburn、1927年4月1日 - 1980年1月3日; 55歳)は1940年代から1950年代にかけて人気のあったアメリカのR&B歌手・ピアニストである。

Stephen Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 - August 27, 1990; aged 35) was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer, best known as the guitarist and frontman of the blues rock band Double Trouble. Although his mainstream career only spanned seven years, he is considered an icon and one of the most influential musicians in the history of blues music, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Couldn't Stand the Weather is the second studio album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. It was released on May 15, 1984, by Epic Records as the follow-up to the band's critically and commercially successful 1983 album, Texas Flood. Recording sessions took place in January 1984 at the Power Station in New York City.

Miguel Vega de la Cruz, better known as "Nino Miguel" (January 27, 1952 - May 23, 2013; aged 61), was a Spanish guitarist, son of the guitarist Miguel Fernandez Cortes (Miguel el Tomate) and the Ana Vega de La Cruz from Huelva. In the 1970s, his playing caused a sensation. In 1973, he obtained the honorary award of the 'Pena National Guitar Competition'.
This CD is a 2in1 of La Guitarra del Nino Miguel (1975) and Diferente (1976).

Charlie Lee Byrd (September 16, 1925 - December 2, 1999; aged 74) was an American jazz guitarist. Byrd was best known for his association with Brazilian music, especially bossa nova. In 1962, he collaborated with Stan Getz on the album Jazz Samba, a recording which brought bossa nova into the mainstream of North American music.
Brazilian Byrd is an album by Charlie Byrd featuring tracks recorded in 1965 and released on the Columbia label.

DEZ ANOS DEPOIS - NARA LEÃO

Nara Lofego Leão (January 19, 1942 - June 7, 1989; aged 47) was a Brazilian bossa nova and MPB (popular Brazilian music) singer and occasional actress.
As a teenager in the late 1950s, she became friends with a number of singers and composers who took part in Bossa Nova's musical revolution, including Roberto Menescal, Carlos Lyra, Ronaldo Boscoli, Joao Gilberto, Vinicius de Moraes and Antonio Carlos Jobim. In fact, it was in her apartment in her parents' home in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro that the new music was born in 1958.
Dez anos depois is a 1971 double album of bossa nova standards by Nara Leao. The first LP is entirely acoustic. The arrangements and accompaniment, made by Brazilian guitarist Tuca, with occasional piano lines, were recorded in France; Nara was living in Paris at the time. The second LP was recorded in Rio.

Sarah Lois Vaughan (March 27, 1924 - April 3, 1990; aged 66) was an American jazz singer. Nicknamed "Sassy" and "The Divine One", she won four Grammy Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award. She was given an NEA Jazz Masters Award in 1989.
Copacabana is a 1979 album by Sarah Vaughan. It was Vaughan's second album of bossa nova following I Love Brazil!; her third album of Brazilian music, Brazilian Romance followed in 1987.
