REMEMBERING WES - BUDDY MONTGOMERY

Charles "Buddy" Montgomery (January 30, 1930 – May 14, 2009; aged 79) was an American jazz vibraphonist and pianist. He was the younger brother of Wes and Monk Montgomery, a guitarist and bassist respectively. Buddy and brother Monk formed The Mastersounds in the late 1950s and produced ten recordings. When The Mastersounds disbanded, Monk and Buddy joined their brother Wes on a number of Montgomery Brothers recordings, which were mostly arranged by Buddy.
Remembering Wes is an album by Buddy Montgomery which was recorded in 2000 and released on the M&I label.

「ODD OR EVEN」は、2000年にレコーディングされた田中信正の初リーダーアルバム。

LENNIE TRISTANO

Leonard Joseph Tristano (March 19, 1919 – November 18, 1978; aged 59) was an American jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and teacher of jazz improvisation. Tristano started teaching music, especially improvisation, in the early 1940s, and by the mid-1950s was concentrating on teaching in preference to performing. His educational role over three decades meant that he exerted an influence on jazz through his students, including saxophonists Lee Konitz and Warne Marsh.
Lennie Tristano, also known as Tristano, is a 1956 album by Lennie Tristano. At its release, the album was controversial for its innovative use of technology, with Tristano overdubbing piano and manipulating tape speed for effect on the first four tracks. The final five songs are concert recordings.
