BLACK GLORY - MAL WALDRON

Malcolm Earl "Mal" Waldron (August 16, 1925 – December 2, 2002; aged 77) was an American jazz pianist, composer, and arranger. He appeared on dozens of albums and composed for many of them, including writing his most famous song, "Soul Eyes", for Coltrane. Waldron was often an accompanist for vocalists, and was Billie Holiday's regular accompanist from April 1957 until her death in July 1959.
Black Glory is a live album by Mal Waldron recorded in Munich 1971 and released on the Enja label.

George Wallington (October 27, 1924 – February 15, 1993; aged 68) was an American jazz pianist and composer. Born in Sicily, his career as a pianist began in the early 1940s, when he played with Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker and contributed to the development of bebop.
Jazz for the Carriage Trade is a 1956 album recorded by George Wallington's quintet with Donald Byrd on trumpet and Phil Woods on alto saxophone and released by Prestige Records the same year.

Apart from submerging himself in music, Madna developed a fascination for mathematics, and he decided to pursue a career as a mathematician rather than a musician. He is regarded as one of the greatest Dutch jazz pianists, who unfortunately showed little interest in recording.

A Portrait of Thelonious is a studio album by Bud Powell, released on Columbia in 1965, featuring a session recorded at Studio Charlot in Paris on December 17, 1961, with Pierre Michelot on bass and Kenny Clarke on drums.
