忌野 清志郎（いまわの きよしろう、1951年〈昭和26年〉4月2日 - 2009年〈平成21年〉5月2日; 58歳没）は、日本のロックミュージシャン。
RCサクセションを筆頭に、忌野清志郎 & 2・3'S、忌野清志郎 Little Screaming Revue、ラフィータフィーなどのバンドを率い、ソウル・ブルースを下地にしたロックサウンドを展開。そのステージ上における圧倒的な存在感と、1983年に発表されたRCサクセションのライブアルバム「THE KING OF LIVE」の印象から、ザ・キング・オブ・ロックの異名を取った。
「Hospital」（ホスピタル）は、忌野清志郎とde-ga-showの共演アルバム。1997年3月3日、SWIM RECORDSからリリースされた。

大木トオル（1947年5月23日 - ）1976年に渡米し、自らのトオル・オオキ・ブルースバンドを率い、東洋人として初の全米ツアーを成功させた。その後3度、ミシシッピ・デルタ・ブルース・フェスティバルに参加し、日米の懸け橋としての功績が認められ、ミュージシャンとして永住権を取得。これらはいずれも東洋人として初である。 マディ・ウォーターズを筆頭にジョン・リー・フッカー、アルバート・キング、B.B.キング、ベン・E・キング、マイク・ブルームフィールドなどと共演している。特に「スタンド・バイ・ミー」のヒットで知られるベン・E・キングとは、「マンハッタン・ブラザース」というデュオを組んで活動した。
本作は、ブルース・ギタリスト３大キングのひとりアルバート・キングとの共演アルバム。1981年ニューヨークで録音されSMEからリリースされた。

Although his mainstream career only spanned seven years, he is considered an icon and one of the most influential musicians in the history of blues music, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
The Sky Is Crying is the fifth and final studio album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, compiling songs recorded throughout most of their career. Released 14 months after Vaughan's death in 1990, the album features ten previously unreleased tracks recorded between 1984 and 1989.

He introduced a sophisticated style of soloing based on fluid string bending, shimmering vibrato and staccato picking that influenced many later blues electric guitar players.

John Leslie "Wes" Montgomery (March 6, 1923 - June 15, 1968; aged 45) was an American jazz guitarist. One of the most influential guitarists of the twentieth century, Montgomery was known for an unusual technique of plucking the strings with the side of his thumb and his extensive use of octaves, which gave him a distinctive sound. His recordings up to 1965 were oriented towards hard bop, soul jazz, and post bop, but around 1965 he began recording more pop-oriented instrumental albums that found mainstream success.
Guitar on the Go is an album by Wes Montgomery that released in 1963. It includes tracks recorded in 1959 and October and November 1963. The album was Montgomery's last for Riverside before signing with Verve.

John Aloysius Fahey (February 28, 1939 – February 22, 2001; aged 61) was an American fingerstyle guitarist and composer who played the steel-string acoustic guitar as a solo instrument. Fahey borrowed from the folk and blues traditions in American roots music, having compiled many forgotten early recordings in these genres.
Fahey spent many of his later years in poverty and poor health, but enjoyed a minor career resurgence in the late 1990s, with a turn towards the avant-garde. In 2003, he was ranked 35th on Rolling Stone magazine's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" list.

Having started his career accompanying famed flamenco singer Camarón de la Isla (with Paco de Lucía), he has made a number of collaborative albums and six solo albums, two of which have won Latin Grammy Awards.

René Mailhes (born 1935) is a French gypsy jazz and modern jazz guitarist.
From his family standing in the same tradition as Django Reinhardt, Mailhes has since also dealt with the influences of American guitarists such as Barney Kessel, Jimmy Raney, Jim Hall and Kenny Burrell; In 1962 he jammed with Jimmy Rainey, which cemented his interest in modern jazz.

Laurindo Almeida (September 2, 1917 – July 26, 1995; aged 77) was a Brazilian guitarist and composer in classical, jazz, and Latin music. He and Bud Shank were pioneers in the creation of bossa nova. Almeida was the first guitarist to receive Grammy Awards for both classical and jazz performances.
Charlie Lee Byrd (September 16, 1925 – December 2, 1999; aged 74) was an American jazz guitarist. Byrd was best known for his association with Brazilian music, especially bossa nova. In 1962, he collaborated with Stan Getz on the album Jazz Samba, a recording which brought bossa nova into the mainstream of North American music.
