Elis Regina Carvalho Costa (March 17, 1945 - January 19, 1982; aged 36), known professionally as Elis Regina, was a Brazilian singer of popular and jazz music, she is also the mother of the singers Maria Rita and Pedro Mariano. Her untimely death, at the age of 36, shocked Brazil.

In the late 1960s, Myers added "Amina" to her name.

Monk is the second-most-recorded jazz composer after Duke Ellington.

Barry Doyle Harris (December 15, 1929 - December 8, 2021 ; aged 91) was an American jazz pianist, bandleader, composer, arranger, and educator. He was an exponent of the bebop style.
Harris performed with Cannonball Adderley's quintet and on television with them. Between 1965 and 1969, he worked extensively with Coleman Hawkins at the Village Vanguard.
