Gerald Foster Wiggins, Sr. (May 12, 1922 - July 13, 2008; aged 86) was an American jazz pianist and organist. Wiggins worked with Louis Armstrong and Benny Carter. In the 1940s, he moved to Los Angeles, where he played music for television and film. He also worked with singers like Lena Horne (1950-51), Kay Starr, and Eartha Kitt.

Vicente Montoliu Massana, better known as Tete Montoliu (28 March 1933 - 24 August 1997; aged 64) was a Spanish jazz pianist from Catalonia, Spain. Born blind, he learnt Braille music at age seven. His styles varied from hard bop, through afro-cuban, world fusion, to post bop. He recorded with Lionel Hampton in 1956 and played with saxophonist Roland Kirk in 1963. He also worked with leading American jazz musicians who toured in, or relocated to Europe including Kenny Dorham, Dexter Gordon, Ben Webster, Lucky Thompson, and Anthony Braxton.
Tete! is an album by pianist Tete Montoliu's Trio recorded in 1974 and released on the Danish label, SteepleChase.

Jones Distinguished Professor of Music at East Carolina University in Greenville, and from 1994 was the artistic director for jazz at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

Alan Warren Haig (July 19, 1922 - November 16, 1982; aged 60) was an American jazz pianist, best known as one of the pioneers of bebop.
The Gillespie quintet, which included Haig, recorded four 78 r.p.m. sides for Guild Records in May 1945 which are regarded as the first recordings to demonstrate all elements of the mature bebop style. He was part of the nonet on the first session of Miles Davis' Birth of the Cool.
Al Haig Trio is a 1954 jazz album released by Al Haig on the Period label.

Tsuyoshi Yamamoto (山本剛, Yamamoto Tsuyoshi, born 23 March 1948; age 73) is a Japanese jazz pianist and composer. In 1974, he became house pianist at Misty, a Tokyo jazz club. He also made his recording debut as leader that year. He played major international festivals in the late 1970s. He also "lived in New York for a year, when he performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Carmen McRae, Sam Jones, Billy Higgins, Elvin Jones, and Sonny Stitt, among others."
