Bossa Nova Bacchanal is an album by American saxophonist Charlie Rouse recorded in 1962 and released in 1963 on the Blue Note label. It was the only album Rouse recorded as a leader for Blue Note.

Horace Ward Martin Tavares Silver (September 2, 1928 - June 18, 2014; aged 85) was an American jazz pianist, composer, and arranger, particularly in the hard bop style that he helped pioneer in the 1950s.
The Cape Verdean Blues is a 1966 album by Horace Silver. The quintet is augmented on the last three tracks on the album by trombonist J. J. Johnson. The album was inspired by Silver's father, John Tavares Silva, who was born in Cape Verde.

The Three Sounds (also known as The 3 Sounds) were an American jazz piano trio that formed in 1956 and disbanded in 1973.
The band formed in Benton Harbor, Michigan, United States, as the Four Sounds. The original line-up consisted of Gene Harris on piano, Andrew Simpkins on double bass and Bill Dowdy on drums, along with saxophonist Lonnie "The Sound" Walker, who dropped out the following year.
Good Deal is the third album by jazz group The Three Sounds featuring performances recorded in 1959 and released on the Blue Note label.

TIME FOR TYNER - McCOY TYNER

Alfred McCoy Tyner (December 11, 1938 - March 6, 2020; aged 81) was an American jazz pianist and composer known for his work with the John Coltrane Quartet and a long solo career. He was an NEA Jazz Master and a five-time Grammy winner. Not a player of electric keyboards and synthesizers, he was committed to acoustic instrumentation. Tyner, who was widely imitated, is one of the most recognizable and most influential pianists in jazz history.
Time for Tyner is the ninth album by McCoy Tyner and his third released on the Blue Note label. It was recorded in May 1968 and features performances by Tyner with Bobby Hutcherson, Herbie Lewis and Freddie Waits.

JUTTA HIPP AT THE HICKORY HOUSE VOL.2

Jutta Hipp (February 4, 1925 - April 7, 2003; aged 78) was a jazz pianist and composer. Born in Leipzig during the Weimar Republic, Hipp initially listened to jazz in secret, as it was not approved of by the Nazi authorities. After World War II, she became a refugee, often lacking food and other necessities. Critic Leonard Feather heard Hipp perform in Germany in 1954, recorded her, and organized her move to the United States the following year. Club and festival appearances soon followed, as did album releases.
At the Hickory House is a two-volume live album by German-born jazz pianist Jutta Hipp featuring performances recorded in 1956 and released on the Blue Note label as BLP 1515 and BLP 1516.

Midnight Special is an album by Jimmy Smith, recorded in 1960 and released on the Blue Note label. The album was recorded at the same session that produced Back at the Chicken Shack (1963).

Edward Louis Smith (May 20, 1931 - August 20, 2016; aged 85) was an American jazz trumpeter from Memphis, Tennessee. Smith decided to forgo being a full-time musician to take a music teaching job at Atlanta's Booker T. Washington High School. During this time he continued playing jazz in clubs, eventually going on to record two albums for Blue Note Records.
Smithville is the second album by Louis Smith recorded in 1958. It was Smith's final album released by Blue Note label.

Edward Lee Morgan (July 10, 1938 - February 19, 1972; aged 33) was an American jazz trumpeter and composer. One of the key hard bop musicians of the 1960s, Morgan came to prominence in his late teens, recording on John Coltrane's Blue Train (1957) and with the band of drummer Art Blakey before launching a solo career. After leaving Blakey for the final time, Morgan continued to work prolifically as both a leader and a sideman with the likes of Hank Mobley and Wayne Shorter, becoming a cornerstone of the Blue Note label.
Delightfulee is an album by jazz trumpeter Lee Morgan released on the Blue Note label in 1967. It was recorded on April 8 & May 27, 1966 and features performances by Morgan with quintet and big band.
