Return to Forever was an American jazz fusion band that was founded by pianist Chick Corea in 1972. The band has had many members, with the only consistent bandmate of Corea's being bassist Stanley Clarke. Along with Weather Report, The Headhunters, and Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever is often cited as one of the core groups of the jazz-fusion movement of the 1970s.
Where Have I Known You Before is the fourth album by the band Return to Forever and the second since leader Chick Corea changed the line-up and moved to electric instrumentation, playing jazz fusion influenced by progressive rock.

Antonio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim (25 January 1927 - 8 December 1994; aged 67), also known as Tom Jobim, was a Brazilian composer, pianist, songwriter, arranger and singer. Considered one of the great exponents of Brazilian music, Jobim internationalized bossa nova and, with the help of important American artists, merged it with jazz in the 1960s to create a new sound with popular success. As such he is sometimes known as the "father of bossa nova".
This live album from the Free Jazz Festival held in Sao Paulo on September 27, 1993, when super artists gathered in Sao Paulo to honor Jobim's achievements.

Carmine Ugo Mariano (November 12, 1923 – June 16, 2009; aged 85) was an American jazz saxophonist who focused on the alto and soprano saxophone. He occasionally performed and recorded on flute and nadaswaram as well. Mariano is father to musician Monday Michiru with his second wife, Toshiko Akiyoshi.
Iberian Waltz is an album by Sadao Watanabe with Charlie Mariano recorded June 28, 1967.

Douglas Clare Fischer (October 22, 1928 – January 26, 2012; aged 83) was an American keyboardist, composer, arranger, and bandleader. He became the pianist and arranger for the vocal group the Hi-Lo's in the late 1950s. He was nominated for eleven Grammy Awards during his lifetime, winning for his landmark album, 2+2 (1981).
So Danço Samba is the fourth album by Clare Fischer, and his first in the bossa nova vein, recorded and released in 1964 on the World Pacific label. Devoted primarily to the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, it also features three of Fischer's own compositions.
