Take Twelve by the Lee Morgan Quintet is a jazz album recorded on January 24, 1962, at Plaza Sound Studios in New York.
This is the only leader album Morgan released on Jazzland Records (a subsidiary of Riverside) during a "gap period" when he briefly stepped away from the scene due to personal struggles. It is highly regarded as a crucial record capturing his artistry just before his massive comeback with The Sidewinder in late 1963.

It's a bossa nova in a slower groove. It contains a mix of Jobim standards as well as originals from Bonfá. Performers also include Antonio Carlos Jobim and vocalist Maria Toledo, Bonfá's wife. The painting on the cover is by the influential New York-based abstract expressionist Olga Albizu from Puerto Rico.

The album was released in 1989 by the prestigious SteepleChase Records and celebrated as a "piano-less trio" masterpiece.
